	♥ 2:07pm YETI BOB: our beautiful and perfect cat had a major asthma attack yesterday. she spent the night in the animal hospital in an oxygen test. we just picked her up and brought her home (listening to WFMU in the car). there have been air quality alerts for 6 days in a row. i just learned that the fireworks on the 4th (and every other damn night) have been contributing to bad air quality (along with excessive heat and lack of rain). so, stupid fireworks made my cat sick. i hate fireworks. wish they would all just stop.

But it turns out cats are really good at hiding their symptoms. Thanks to everyone for the outpouring of concern. WFMU listeners really are the best people.

Our diva all-white cat has had a spot on her nose and muzzle that would not go away, and we were getting scared it was skin cancer until a friend mentioned that cats can develop metal sensitivity, and now all seems on the mend -- guardedly optimistic. 	♥ 2:07pm YETI BOB: our beautiful and perfect cat had a major asthma attack yesterday. she spent the night in the animal hospital in an oxygen test. we just picked her up and brought her home (listening to WFMU in the car). there have been air quality alerts for 6 days in a row. i just learned that the fireworks on the 4th (and every other damn night) have been contributing to bad air quality (along with excessive heat and lack of rain). so, stupid fireworks made my cat sick. i hate fireworks. wish they would all just stop.
