...or Jingle Workshop. My tongue strikes again...

Rich in Washington:

I love the Manhattan Research set! It's wonderful! I love all the weird ad logos in it.
Avatar 6:15pm
Don-O:

BTW, I did get the Jingle Workshop set yesterday (one day early) and it is a blast! I will be some bits from it in next weeks show!!

Time for a crap.
Avatar 6:17pm
Don-O:

....which will be part two of this Scott mess. Another level of the Jingle set is contains some fine pieces of Americana.
Avatar 6:17pm
Don-O:

Hey, Aitch! Ears bleeding yet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm

Feeling jaunty

Rich in Washington:

Hey, Aitch! How's things your way?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm
Aitch:

Nice down here, benefits of living on a big island. 18 new cases in the whole country yesterday, collective holding of breath.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm
Rich in Washington:

That's good to hear, at least. I think my state adds something like that every month or so.
Avatar 6:33pm
Don-O:

We had only 5 cases in this part of AZ, but the tourist came in and took over the Colorado River and Lake Havesu and we're experiencing a small spike.
Avatar 6:35pm
Don-O:

....which means I get to hear AZ people complain about California and that old "failed liberal" chant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm
Rich in Washington:

This bit always reminds me of 70s Doctor Who incidental music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm
Rich in Washington:

You know that's a big thing here in the Pacific Northwest, don't you? Blaming everything on Californians coming up here.
Avatar 6:38pm
Don-O:

Yea, CA has it's issues but in times like this, everybody needs a punching bag.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm

Imagine where you'd be at now if Bernie had got in last election.
Avatar 6:40pm
Don-O:

I'm a bit shocked that I can keep track of these tracks as they blend into each other.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm
Rich in Washington:

I remember bits from this album being some of the first things I ever downloaded off of Napster.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm
Rich in Washington:

I now sort of wished I'd bought the Soothing Sounds For Baby when the sets were relatively cheap.
Avatar 6:42pm
Don-O:

I got my copy at Amoeba Records in 2001.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm

My first Napster #1 Song in Heaven, I'd never found a copy. The Raymond Scott news to me, but interesting. Something to bother my children with.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm
Rich in Washington:

I bought the Manhattan set on vinyl several years ago at Exiled Records in Portland.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45pm
Rich in Washington:

That's an apropos song for your first Napster song, Aitch!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Rich in Washington:

I think Cool and Strange Magazine really influenced a lot of my early Napster fishing expeditions. Lots of outsider and so-bad-it's-good type stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Santos L. Halper:

Fascinating stuff Don-O. Not your typical Scott, but i like it, esp this Pygmy Taxi (in the twylyte)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Rich in Washington:

I was still a few years away from doing radio but making my own goofy mixes in my bedroom studio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
Rich in Washington:

Hi Santos!
Avatar 6:48pm
Don-O:

Geez, my first Napster download was Weird Al's It;s Still Billy Joel To Me.
Avatar 6:48pm
Don-O:

Santos!!

Rich in Washington:

I used to have a CDR that had the then sum of all my favorite Napster hauls. Sadly, I must've thrown it away.
I'm actually thinking of doing a themed show about period. Maybe stupid and self-indulgent, but that's never stopped me before.

Speaking of which...
Hey folks, I'm gonna be spinning next door right after this show right here:
