The first CD I ever heard was Computer World, which was digital all the way through I think, had DDD on the label. Via my friend's brand new CD Walkman on headphones. No hiss, extraordinary.

My first all-digital moment wasn't Kraftwerk, but it was a DDD disc, Don Dorsey's "Bachbusters" - the liner notes were specific that all performances were controlled from a keyboard, and "No signal on this recording has ever been sound until you hear it through your system"
