It's Week One of the March 2020 WFMU Marathon on today's Hi-Waisted Modernists with DJ GeorgyGirl and so we're bringing you a very special edition featuring music from the album "The Forgotten Age" by the wonderful Vernian Process and readings from H.G. Wells' classic "The Time Machine".

There was a five year period around the end of the millenium - sort of late 90s to the very early 200s when I was listening to a lot of very atmospheric music like this. Bands like Ulver, for example. Wonderful stuff :-)

Fun-to-Know Fact here, kiddies: Wells wrote the Time machine as a warning: imagine if all people are divided into the Haves and Have-nots?
