Hi Jason!
Hi Jan!
Hi Mr. Fab!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Rich in Washington:

Swell show you got going on today!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am Jan Turkenburg:

I've got an album of the IBO too, trying to look it up, if it's the same
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Mr Fab:

an Indonesian Bamboo Orchestra?! Who knew such wonders existed? Well, obviously Jan does. Must hunt that one done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am Jan Turkenburg:

The Indonesian instrument Anklung, is made of bamboo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am Jan Turkenburg:

I've have an album here by the "Angklung and Kulingtang Orchestra" and I compared it with the album Anklung, I found on Discogs. It has some similar songs and also similarities in artwork. The drawing on my album cover is incorporated in the Jason's LP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am Jan Turkenburg:

I played a track on FDL 236 1.bp.blogspot.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Mr Fab:

Thanks Jan. Just put it into my Amazon cart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36am Mr Fab:

an inept school band massacring the Shaft theme, oh yeeeeeaaahh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36am Jan Turkenburg:

Jason, is the name Johan Maasbach mentioned on your LP-cover? If so, I think it's the same orchestra.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am Rich in Washington:

I would be over the moon if I discovered that my high school put out a marching band record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am Mr Fab:

my school was so lame, we didn't have a band.
Avatar 11:44am Jason Elbogen:

hey Jan, looks like the same group... The one I have is on discogs here:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Jan Turkenburg:

That's the one I found too. Probably the same group, maybe recorded years apart...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Mr Fab:

Hail (Shirley) Caesar! This is smokin'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Mr Fab:

Avatar 1:09pm Otis Fodder:

Hi Jason and fellow castaways. How is life today in Sheena's... uncharted desert isle... tropic island nest?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm Rich in Washington:

Hey Otis!
Avatar 1:20pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar 1:21pm Otis Fodder:

Great conscious hip hop here, got turned on to this LP this summer. Nice!
  1:24pm mmmz:

hi Jason, are you going to archive last week show? I missed it. Thanks!
Avatar 1:29pm Jason Elbogen:

mmmz - there were some gigantic technical problems with the first hour of the show (maybe 90 minutes)... I'm not sure why it didn't archive, though. Check back in a few days--i'll look into it while I'm at the station today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Jan Turkenburg:

Jason, there is a way to get your recording in the archives. I'll pm you on fb
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi again everybody by the way. I had a small radio break and diner. Just did the pre-flight checklist :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Rich in Washington:

Love the synth on this!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm Jan Turkenburg:

Beautifull electronic wind effects though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, wonderfull combination, school choir and synths!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm Rich in Washington:

The cover's got this Children of the Corn vibe going on.
