  9:01am dan:

Missed you both. My Saturday morning last week was lackluster without your show.
  9:01am Andrew Taylor:

Good morning Amanda and Roger and all other Double-Dippers.
  9:02am yippie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:02am melinda:

morning everyone! Nice to have you back!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03am Amanda:

Hi everyone and welcome! We are refreshed after a week away, many thanks to the great Joe McGasko for stepping in last week.
  9:03am Last White Rhino:

Welcome back Roger and Amanda. Good to have you back although Joe M did a fine fill in. Morning to all the Dipsy Doodles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am Amanda:

Dipsy Doodles, I like that.
  9:07am Last White Rhino:

Is the Fall KIDFEST an all ages show ???? Can Philip bring the baby????
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am Amanda:

Philip the baby is most welcome at KIDFEST, and so is the whole family!
  9:13am dan:

Like the dinosaur picture. Dinosaurs was my interest when I was 8 years old. That didn't last though.
  9:18am Crei6hton:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am melinda:

Joe is a fab kids' show host.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am Amanda:

@dan, we love the dinosaur and the scenery too. :-)
  9:25am Clummoo:

Good job playing Anika Moa playing a classic Maori song which we were made to sing at school a gazillion million trillion times. However she is most definitely not from Australia! New Zealand Yo! Unless I heard things wrong I apologise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am Amanda:

No, @Clummoo, you are right and we stumbled on that one, so thank you so much for setting us straight!
  9:28am dan:

Harry Chapin's advocated for combating world hunger, I guess his brother advocated for the hungry to clean up after themselves.
Avatar 9:29am annexia:

Good Morning Amanda and Roger. I would like to request a cut from Ivor Cutler (your pick). Thank you.

Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Refill, Repair, Regift, Recycle, Repeat!
  9:37am Clummoo:

Amanda, It’s the New Zealand curse. Being mistaken for Australians! Haha. anyway it was great to hear that song sung by the musician/saucy cheeky trouble maker TV host Anika Moa on your show.
Swag For Life Member 9:42am tadpoles:

#Clummoo ..... the great Flight of the Conchords addressed the Kiwi / Aussie quandary brilliantly in one of their episodes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am Amanda:

At FMU we try so hard NOT to confuse the two - so the correction is appreciated :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am melinda:

Nice to hear Claudia sing about Billie Jean.
  9:49am dan:

How did I know that the rhyme for 'slurp' was going to be 'burp'.
Swag For Life Member 9:52am tadpoles:

You're in good company Amanda...Joe McGasko did it once saying a Kiwi band were from Australia.
Avatar Double Dip Recess: Gimme a Waffle! Hellraiser 2021 Swag For Life Member 9:55am Webhamster Henry:

Brin Dewan and I did a how last year concentrating on cautionary tales and songs, and cheery songs abut disasters. Clementine, a cheery song about a big footed girl drowning, seemed appropriate!
Avatar Double Dip Recess: Gimme a Waffle! Hellraiser 2021 Swag For Life Member 9:55am Webhamster Henry:

So it'a nice this version modulated into a minor key for at least part of it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56am Amanda:

Sounds like a fascinating project WH!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59am melinda:

Beautiful indeed.
  10:01am yippie:

Survived to Saturday and my favorite show for kids of all ages. Phew a bit of sweat but glad to keep dancing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08am Amanda:

Aw, thanks for that @nostrangerer - glad you're movin yer feet
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09am Amanda:

@annexia - We love Ivor Cutler!!! Requests are usually hard to get to during the same show, but you'll definitely hear him on a future show if not today.
  10:14am dan:

On the topic of future requests, can you play any McGarrigle Sisters song? I've become such a big fan of their music in recent years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am Amanda:

Request noted and thank you, always nice to get requests!

The Moldy Peaches are much better than the Fungal Figs.
Avatar Double Dip Recess: Gimme a Waffle! Hellraiser 2021 Swag For Life Member 10:46am Ken From Hyde Park:

In my half-awake dream state earlier, I dreamed you DJs were operating hand puppets in a box. I felt sorry for you because it was outside and it was all stuffy in the back of the box, with the hot sun beating down on it.
  10:46am dan:

Poulet is French for chicken.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am Amanda:

Ken HP, that is some dream! Luckily it is very temperate here in the studio, so you don't need to worry about us.
Avatar Double Dip Recess: Gimme a Waffle! Hellraiser 2021 Swag For Life Member 10:51am Webhamster Henry:

Bugs was a lot more bugs in the early Tex Avery days.
  10:51am dan:

Bugs Bunny sounds less Brooklynese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am Amanda:

Yeah, they made him similar to Daffy early on, before he grew suave.
  10:54am dan:

I like smartalecky Bugs, it's what makes him the #1 greatest cartoon character. #2 is Homer Simpson.
  10:54am dano59:

This is sweet!!
  10:55am L W Rhino:

Speaking of the 1910 Fruit Gum Company, They will be performing tonight at the Dead Man's Curve Wild Hot Rod Show in Mahwah ,NJ at the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel @ 7:30PM. Weird coincidence, huh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am Amanda:

THANK YOU, dippers, for hanging out with us today! You make the world go round! Roger is single dippin' it on his own next week!
  10:58am L W Rhino:

Thanks for all the joy Amanda and Roger.
  10:59am dano59:

TYFTM is also a book about mix tape art; i had to weed thru endless ABBA hits on Google eBay and Amazon to find a copy
  10:59am dan:

Great show today.
