hey all: I'll be in Jersey City the night of June 19th. My current plan is to go to Barbes in Park Slope, but I certainly wouldn't mind checking out a Jersey City or lower Manhattan venue. Afaik there's nothing going on at Monty Hall, sadly. Suggestions welcome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08am Nulsh:

Linda Lee, Doc Chad still records and tours like a mofo! He's touring the UK currently. Solo gig tonight, but sits in with various bands on the tour.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

It was June 16, i couldn't believe how amazing the opening set was. the whole program. i clicky starred it and have listened to that one so many times. i listen to Shrunken Planet archives more than any other, without a doubt. Thanks for sharing such wonderful sounds, Jeffrey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33am dale:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35am Nulsh:

Hey TDK60!
Avatar 7:36am TDK60:

Morning Nulsh. Seein' Eugene C. eh? ..saw him in '87 or so; got to talk..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38am Nulsh:

Linda Lee, sorry I had to drop out there for a sec. We were living in Southern England and my Izzy's sister had serious health issues so we decided to move back to Scotland. Needed to get to Edinburgh and Ayr regularly so Glasgow was an obvious choice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39am Nulsh:

Top bass playing - is that Danny Thompson?
  7:40am Buddha of Suburbia:

Bye everyone! Casino's waiting for me. Hi LL! Bye L! Nulsh! Dazzlin' Dalvador Dali! Great tunes today. Bye...xxoo

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03am queems:

good morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am Nulsh:

Hey queems!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am queems:

hi @nulsh!!
  8:08am adrian in mpls (she/her):

I hadn’t heard about Glover’s passing - that’s too bad. He and Koerner had a weekly residency in town for years. Not being a native Minnesotan, it was interesting learning about Koerner Ray and Glover - and what an impact they had with that first record.
Avatar 8:10am TDK60:

..back when Elektra was a smallish folk label..
Avatar 8:11am TDK60:

..but things kept "forever changing."
  8:12am adrian in mpls (she/her):

yeah, Jax Holzman’s autobiography has a couple interesting anecdotes (that I can’t remember) about how people use to tell him how much that record impacted them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12am Nulsh:

Real nice.
Avatar 8:16am Fredericks:

Is that Tony Glover playing harp with Dave Ray?
Avatar 8:18am Fredericks:

Never mind. Just read upwards. I had a harmonica instructional book written by Mister Glover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19am Jeffrey Davison:

Fredericks...welcome. Yes, Glover is on all these tracks thus far.
Avatar 8:21am TDK60:

..just referencing a great 5 CD compilation of Elektra music from '63-'73, called Forever Changing (of course named after Love's Forever Changes.) Koerner, Ray & Glover are on there.
Avatar 8:27am robot rattle:

A little sad now when you see a string of songs by the same artist you have to check if they passed away.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am Nulsh:

Oy vey! Look at the time. I have to split.
Thanks for the great selection as ever Jeffrey - I'll need to get the last half hour on the archive.
Bye folks! Enjoy yer' weekend.
Avatar 8:31am TDK60:

see ya Nulsh.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

And we've rambled on back to the hive
Avatar 8:48am TDK60:

Granny! I'm ramblin' round the apt. like a zombie, searchin' down caffeine and the like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

TDK60: when you find that caffeine, blow the whistle, i'm still bleary
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Better get up, feed the cats, get the kettle on and prepare for Double Dip Recess. This jaunty ditty ought to help put the pep in my step!
  8:50am adrian in mpls (she/her):

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):
