Hey Hey, what's the word of the day?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Listening in the background for a bit :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

The word of the day is Love. Man. ;-)
  2:59pm Martinibomb:

The word of the day is MU
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm Jan Turkenburg:

I'm here with my little notebook and pencil!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:01pm Webhamster Henry:

Uh oh - Dickie Goodman alert!
  3:02pm Martinibomb:

Omfg! Otis there's a show for adults with developmental disabilities on FreeformPDX and they sing over their fave songs. But one of the guys tried to sing over a Dickie Goodman track.. I was really blown away
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm Jan Turkenburg:

I love this kind of collages. Hearing things exactly like this on Dutch radio, ignited my love for cutting and pasting.
Avatar 3:02pm Otis Fodder:

Ha, that's fantastic MB. If you can find the link, can you post it here?
  3:02pm Martinibomb:

It was really cool hearing someone try and sing a collage record
  3:03pm Martinibomb:

I don't think they archive that show unfortunately
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Right - I'm taking you to the armchair for a bit. Brace yourself for the walk over! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Rich in Washington:

  3:06pm Martinibomb:

Lol Cracker mouth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm Rich in Washington:

Martinibomb, we have spoken before about our mutual love for Full Life Radio. They used to have WFMU-style chat capabilities when they were on Radio23/Cascade Community Radio, which was fun as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I need crackers!!!
  3:07pm Martinibomb:

I think this is cooler than talking into the mic with marbles in your mouth lol
  3:07pm Martinibomb:

Full Life Radical Radio. Don't forget the Radical part doood! :-D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm Rich in Washington:

Martinibomb, are you aware of the 180-Gs? It's an all acapella project covering Negativland's catalog.
Avatar 3:08pm Otis Fodder:

Yes, 180-Gs! Super funny cool stuff.
  3:08pm Martinibomb:

I haven't heard it but would love to of course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Rich in Washington:

Do they do their show live at Freeform? Like go in and do it, or is it remote?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Rich in Washington:

The guy(s) who do it are geniuses. I've also played their project The Sursiks on your show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Rich in Washington:

Don Joyce sent me the 180-Gs shortly after it came out. It's brilliant. I will have to get it to you somehow.
  3:10pm Martinibomb:

They do it remote. The DJ before them gets them on air and then takes off. I think it must be an internet feed? I just joined the Full Life Radical radio page on FaceBook
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm Rich in Washington:

GOD! I remember mailing away for this cassette when I was a kid. I was so flummoxed. I didn't actually know what Muzak meant. I thought it was just a silly spelling of music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Rich in Washington:

Now I love it, but I just remember being so confused about this tape. it was also really cheap and the pressure pad fell off, the ink on the cassette was smudgy, like it was a grease pencil or the ink was wet.
Avatar 3:13pm Mr Fab:

Hi Otis, hi all!
Can't believe I never thought to record "Paul Revere" backwards. I mean, I recorded a slowed-down "Chipmunk Song" after all...
Avatar 3:14pm Otis Fodder:

Wow, the OG tapes of EZ. I didn't hear about the project until the early 2000s. The recent box set is a beautiful thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm Rich in Washington:

FLRR: That's how they did it on CCR - that's how we all did our shows - remotely. I think the Full Life school is/was really close to KBOO.
Avatar 3:14pm Otis Fodder:

Paul Revere sounds amazing backwards!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm Rich in Washington:

I remember that rendition of Whip It reminded me of Jack Lalane's TV show. I could imagine him hopping around in his jumpsuit to that song. If you've seen his show, you know what I mean.
Avatar 3:16pm Otis Fodder:

I really enjoy how most versions on EZ, like Whip It, are only slightly reminiscent of the original.
  3:17pm Martinibomb:

A good friend works for Devo. Even played bass on their last tour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm Jan Turkenburg:

one of the coolest renditions of Caravan I know sofar
Avatar 3:17pm Mr Fab:

Otis, you never bought any Devo albums? The blurb for the EZ tape was in their 'Club Devo' ads that came in their record packaging. Hilarious reading.
Avatar 3:17pm Otis Fodder:

Yes! One of my favs by Vinnie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm Rich in Washington:

Yeah. Devo was so screwed by their contract that they tried to make money with their fan club items/merch. They could only merchandize certain things, apparently. The catalog was really OG punk/guerilla looking, because they paid for it out of pocket - and I would imagine the merch was also suitably cheap. The cassette was in a paper carton, really cheaply made. I sold it to a fanboy years and years ago, but now I wish I still had it for some reason.
Avatar 3:19pm AdamOooh:

If you had listed this as the Bran Flakes version of Caravan I would have believed it easily. That groove...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Rich in Washington:

I love Beautiful World for its Optigan loop.
Avatar 3:19pm Otis Fodder:

Ha. Hey Adam O!
Avatar 3:20pm Mr Fab:

I can still quote those 'Club Devo' blurbs, like how the EZ tape "captures Devo in a rare "mellow" mood." The description for the radiation suits they sold said: "Keep cool during meltdowns!"
  3:22pm Fortyone:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Rich in Washington:

Ha! That's great, Fab! Sounds right to me! I should look to see if I still have my catalog.
Avatar 3:22pm Otis Fodder:

Hey Fortyone!! Cool segment last week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Rich in Washington:

I remember them plugging Club items on Letterman and Mark got up and stomped on an energy dome on Dave's desk when Dave asked what someone would do with it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm chresti:

Hello Otis and the fiendly persuaders!
Avatar 3:25pm Otis Fodder:

Chresti, hello!
  3:25pm Fortyone:

Thank ya! I missed Dickie Goodman... Love him, Wayne Butane compiled some awesome collections of Break-In records- those are always awesome
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm Franco Twinkie:

Otis! You are creating the sound track for my casual Friday.
Avatar 3:26pm Otis Fodder:

I need to play Wayne Butane on the show. Don-O's show after this has played Wayne!
Avatar 3:27pm Otis Fodder:

Oh, thank you Franco Twinkie!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I was pulled back by glorious Cake sounds. God, I adore them :-)
Avatar 3:28pm Mr Fab:

Is that Carib steel drums?
Avatar 3:28pm Otis Fodder:

I actually thought of you when pulling this out Georgy. Because I know you, like a few other pals, love Cake so much!
  3:31pm Martinibomb:

Is Wayne butane kind of a right winger? I follow him on FB and some of his posts are not what I would expect
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

:-) Thank you, sweetie
  3:34pm Fortyone:

Me and him are kind of right wing... I don't know about him but I'm a Bible believing Christian... so who would've figured, haha!
Avatar 3:35pm Mr Fab:

I think of Wayne Butane as a guy who likes to stir shit up.
  3:35pm Dr. Ploppy:

I.ve never done a poo on a Friday. Very strange.
  3:36pm Martinibomb:

@41 Lol haha @Fab that's exactly what I was thinkin
Avatar 3:36pm Otis Fodder:

I'm a human collage book of life beatin' agnostic with a side of athiest throwing a golden apple into the circle with a extra side of bulldada. And I dig other paths. Crazy world, fun show.
  3:37pm Fortyone:

I know Wayne's not trolling though so... not with his politics at least.
  3:38pm Martinibomb:

@41 i just figured he'd be goofier rather than more conservative viewpoint from his work..
  3:38pm Dr. Ploppy:

I'm a human collage book of life beatin' agnostic with a side of athiest throwing a golden apple into the circle with a extra side of bulldada. And I dig other paths. Crazy world, fun show. ....Translated - I'm a twat
  3:39pm Fortyone:

Ah, Otis, I used to say just about the same type of thing about myself... then in 2015 I was born again. Never would've thought it would've happened to me. @MB oh yeah, his work is not what you would think of when you think conservative haha!
Avatar 3:39pm Otis Fodder:

Ha ha, you got it Ploppy!
Avatar 3:39pm Otis Fodder:

Yep, never know where life will lead ya, that's for sure.
  3:40pm Martinibomb:

@41 yuuup exactly he threw me for a loop hah
  3:41pm Fortyone:

this is fonky
  3:42pm Martinibomb:

hey otis I just found out that Devo Muzak stuff was all done on 4 track basicly Mark/Alan with Bob2 engineering it all on 4 track
Avatar 3:43pm Mr Fab:

Ha, Johnny Sea, one of the great Johnny Cash impersonators. I have an album of his I should really digitize.
  3:43pm Martinibomb:

I've been wanting to do a mix of just cash impersonators -- it's been on my mind
Avatar 3:44pm Otis Fodder:

Just found this Johnny Sea 7". New to the ears, dig it.
  3:44pm Fortyone:

if that was an impersonator he's the best one ever that sounded just like johnny cash to me!
Avatar 3:45pm Mr Fab:

Everything about this Diesel Smoke Sally track is golden
Avatar 3:45pm Otis Fodder:

Both sides of this 7 are killer. Playing the other one in a sec.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Webhamster Henry:

Did anyone ever hook up a CB radio to a mixing board and do a freeform highway broadcast?
  3:47pm Martinibomb:

Oooh gawd that would be superb!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Rich in Washington:

I think Trailer Park Records or some similar outfit put out a CD or two called Cashed In, which was all Johnny Cash soundalikes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Webhamster Henry:

My father had a CB in his '73 ragtop Cougar... stolen about 3 times.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Rich in Washington:

A friend and I used to play weird tapes and recordings over the CB out of his suburban garage to torment hillbillies. It was fun.
Avatar 3:50pm Mr Fab:

I have one of the singing lunberjacks' albums, he does a pretty good Johnny too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Jan Turkenburg:

I did have a multichannel Walky Talky on, as a FM pirate station, recieving reuqests from CB-people in the neighbourhood. I played a lot of my Shadows-cassettes :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Rich in Washington:

We would also take one CB receiver and feed the signal through a digital delay and send it out over another CB. That too was fun.
Avatar 3:50pm Otis Fodder:

Had to play both sides of this Johnny Sea 7". One of my favorite recent finds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Webhamster Henry:

Putting out false reports of "Picture Takin' Smokies" would help slow down the traffic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm Rich in Washington:

That Johnny Sea was amazing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm Rich in Washington:

CB radio was weird in the 90s. A few friends and I got into it for giggles. It was mainly populated by the kind of people who now troll civil rights events, etc. Just garbagy tweaker type people who had nothing better to do than start fights with people and actually try to track them down via their signal strength meters.
  3:56pm Blair Sterrett:

this just might be my new fave Roger Roger track
Avatar 3:57pm Mr Fab:

Have any of you actually seen the film "Angel, Angel, Down We Go"? Wow. All I can say is: only in the '60s...
Avatar 3:57pm Otis Fodder:

I know, that Roger Roger cut is a wild one from him. Hi Blair!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Jan Turkenburg:

It was fun for short while in the late 1970s overhere, that's what I remember. I don't feel any urge to join the club that seems to be on CB nowadays
Avatar 3:57pm Otis Fodder:

No Fab, I want to see it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Webhamster Henry:

I'm a green belt, but I've forgotten it all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

The 90s were great. :-)
  4:02pm Fortyone:

the twenty aughts! Don't say the "two thousands" lol haha. pet peeve
Avatar 4:03pm Otis Fodder:

SO much good music in the 90s.

Keeping with two thousands. Even though I know it's not correct. Ha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm gonna archive the rest of the evening, my lovelies :-) Early night for me! Huge hugs all round and thank you, lovely Otis, for the first fantastic hour. Can't wait to enjoy the rest :-)
Avatar 4:04pm Otis Fodder:

See ya G!
  4:04pm Fortyone:

people make fun of me for saying "twenty-oh-one", "twenty-oh-five" etc...
  4:04pm Martinibomb:

Cya next week GG! have a good weekend
  4:05pm Martinibomb:

@41 have you been working on any new music recently?
Avatar 4:06pm Otis Fodder:

I mess up all the time. Usually I correct myself, but sometimes I keep with being silly. Like, I know I should say Twenty Aughts... Fortyone, keep pushing me, I'll get in line in time. Ha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm Rich in Washington:

Bye GeorgyGirl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Jan Turkenburg:

G'nite Georgy!
  4:09pm Fortyone:

@MB just dropped my 44th album in December, and am doing new songs/videos on the 1st and 14th of every month and on most major american "holidays"...
  4:10pm Martinibomb:

@41 where can I track your work at?
Avatar 4:10pm Mr Fab:

Oh gawd, not that RIAA guy!

Know how I'm catching up with the '90s? CDs. They're worthless now. Check your local thrift store.
  4:11pm Fortyone:

@Otis once 2010 hit it occurred to me that I should be saying "twenty" for 2000-2009 just like we all say "nineteen" for 1900-1909 etc... but yeah I'll harp on it until you want to break my face! Nah...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm Rich in Washington:

WOW! That's fantastic!
  4:11pm Martinibomb:

Omg this one is insane fab
  4:11pm Fortyone:

@MB, ah, 41music.net
Avatar 4:11pm Otis Fodder:

I have some unreleased RIAA material I got from that artist. Prepare for future listens!
Avatar 4:12pm Otis Fodder:

Keep harping 41. The only breaking we will be doing is with cookies, breaking and eating cookies my friend.
  4:12pm Martinibomb:

@41 Thanks! I'll be keeping tabs on that page :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm Rich in Washington:

Oh, I know, Fab! It's sort of like the 80s era of used vinyl. There's this fresh wave of people dumping their CDs. I'm finding lots of cool stuff I've always wanted to buy, but didn't wanna drop full price on 'em.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm Rich in Washington:

And I still dig CDs, as both my home setup and the radio station I DJ at are really set up for CDs as well as records.
Avatar 4:14pm Otis Fodder:

And so much good stuff that only came out on CD in the 90s.
  4:14pm Fortyone:

Always pick up a CD or VHS tape when I'm out buying records... well not always but. CDs are fun
  4:17pm Martinibomb:

I admit I am a CD hater. I hate that the art is sooooo small. I wish they were bigger like 7" or something
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Rich in Washington:

Lots of Punk and Alternative stuff came out in the early 90s, like a whole LP with contemporaneous EP/single stuck on. I loved those, like twofer albums.
  4:18pm Fortyone:

but they have the cool little booklets...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Rich in Washington:

Oh yeah, not an ideal format for art or booklets, etc, to be sure, but so convenient in so many other ways.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Rich in Washington:

We will lead the vanguard of the CD revival!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Rich in Washington:

Speaking of which, I need to work on both mastering my premium CD and the artwork this weekend.
  4:21pm Martinibomb:

I've done tons of CD art for musicians and it sucks compared to doing LP art
Avatar 4:21pm Mr Fab:

Remember Rich you don't have to make an actual CD. Just send em the tracks/artwork. The WFMU elves do the actual manufacturing.
Avatar 4:21pm Otis Fodder:

I have purged a majority of my CDs, ripping them. However, I keep custom-made CDRs, those with special packaging, or ones that hold sentimental value of some sorts, like something a good friend passed me.
Avatar 4:22pm Mr Fab:

Crystal Spears - Britney's ne'er-do-well little sister
  4:22pm Martinibomb:

@Fab can you send them a folder with WAV files or an ISO that they would burn?
Avatar 4:23pm Otis Fodder:

Pop music from Saturn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Jan Turkenburg:

  4:24pm Martinibomb:

I'm thinking CD image is the best thing to upload for them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm Webhamster Henry:

I am your MOUSTER!
  4:25pm Fortyone:

come to my pair a dice, and roll them...
Avatar 4:31pm Mr Fab:

Martinibomb, i don't see any specs re those questions. The WFMU wiki just says "you must burn your master CD at a very SLOW burn speed (8x or 16x). Your CD master should be NO LONGER THAN 75 MIN."
  4:32pm Martinibomb:

@fab I just emailed Michele asking about uploading CD images etc.. I'll let everyone know what she says

Hey I'm on this one! Took me a second to place it....
Avatar 4:33pm Don-O:

I'm hearing shades of the SCRATCH documentary with this track.
Avatar 4:33pm Otis Fodder:

Yes you are, on Tenor Sax with Kid Koala scratchin'.
Avatar 4:34pm Mr Fab:

RIAA stood for something dif every time: "Recording Industries Are Archaic," "Robotic Intergalactic Astro-Artists," "Reality Is An Accident", "Risque, Illicit and Adult"...
Avatar 4:35pm Otis Fodder:

And I added, "Really Incredible Acrobatic Animals"!
Avatar 4:35pm Mr Fab:

I should have asked you to come up with the names!
Avatar 4:36pm Otis Fodder:

Nap time now. 15 minutes. Down on your mats.
Avatar 4:44pm Don-O:

Long track break!!
Avatar 4:45pm Otis Fodder:

Ebbs and Flows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm Rich in Washington:

Perhaps I'm a heretic, but I like Christopher Young's Hellraiser soundtrack better than Coil's.
Avatar 4:48pm Otis Fodder:

Hard to pick a favorite between the two. I'm more Coil and still long for the 10: one day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm chresti:

Beautiful show, thanks Otis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm Rich in Washington:

Gonna drive home now before we're buried by feet of snow. Hopefully won't miss too much while listening on my phpne while I drive! Later!
  5:00pm Blair Sterrett:

I found "Message Your Mate" on cassette. You should massage your cat!
Avatar 5:01pm Otis Fodder:

Cheers Rich! I'll be out tonight after my show so will be catching your show + Don's tomorrow.
  5:02pm Martinibomb:

@rich I just got back from stocking up on a few things at the store before the snow hits
Avatar 5:02pm Mr Fab:

I think the priests at my Catholic school had this album...
Avatar 5:02pm Otis Fodder:

Bunjee is spoiled. I should release our next album as a massage your pet record.
Avatar 5:02pm Otis Fodder:

So many jokes right here and now with this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm Jan Turkenburg:

Mr. Fab! :-)
  5:03pm Martinibomb:

@Fab same here lol. Father Happy comes to mind... seriously his name. bright red face from drinkin too much
  5:04pm Blair Sterrett:

Music to Massage Your Pets By. I love it
Avatar 5:05pm AdamOooh:

Up there with the creepiest kid's record songs i've heard...
Avatar 5:05pm Otis Fodder:

BC - Totally, and it would have a cute illustrated/photo zine of how to pet your pets with love. Totally innocent. I'm contemplating this now!!
  5:06pm Martinibomb:

@Fab I just heard back from Michelle yup she wants hard copies mailed. Better let GG know I think she was planning to upload wav or something
Avatar 5:06pm Otis Fodder:

Yes, Adam, totally. After I recorded the Hap Palmer song, the record went to Oliver. Ha ha. Always purging!
Avatar 5:07pm Mr Fab:

Really?! Coulda sworn you all only had to send a file of mp3s
Avatar 5:08pm Otis Fodder:

FAB/MB - We have to send a hard copy CDR. Artwork submitted digitally. Let's start a thread in the FB Clubhouse.
  5:09pm Fortyone:

I love and have many Hap Palmer records, and loved to juxtapose and out-of-context use songs like that in my day- now I no longer do! hmm this house of grass is nice...
  5:10pm Martinibomb:

Yup Hardcopy CDR but can email Art
Avatar 5:10pm Otis Fodder:

Fortyone - I also do much less of that too, in an obscene manner. Maybe it's age, but I get more innocent with collage work as the years pass. Boring old man.
Avatar 5:12pm AdamOooh:

Smooth mix Otis!
Avatar 5:12pm Mr Fab:

the great "Technicolor Paradise" albums were comped by WFMU's own DJ Little Danny, host of "Cool Blue Flame" on the Drummer stream
Avatar 5:13pm Otis Fodder:

Yes! That Numero box set is amazing. All 3 albums. Highly recommend it and it can be streamed online in many places. The LP box set is a dream.
  5:15pm Fortyone:

@Otis yes, happens with age and I don't know- and then in my case with my Faith added in too... but I can still laugh and be silly and have fun so hey! That was some funky drums... this one sounds nice, ha!
  5:18pm Martinibomb:

@41 does your faith influence your work?
Avatar 5:18pm Otis Fodder:

Thanks Adam. Feel like now, 3 months into the show, I'm finally feeling the groove of the gear and flow of the tunes, like on this show. Ebbing and flowing.
Avatar 5:19pm Otis Fodder:

Fortyone - I have a ton of great 70s Jesus Rock I love. Larry Norman's first album is still an all time fav!
  5:20pm Fortyone:

@MB it has definitely, since being Born again all of my albums since have been different- mainly in the absence of sex jokes/perversion and the absence of zen/taoist type stuff that was always a large part of my stuff. And then also in less obvious ways but yes definitely
  5:21pm Fortyone:

@Otis, ah, not familiar with that but will check it out!
Avatar 5:23pm Otis Fodder:

Fortyone - Album is Larry Norman - Upon This Rock. 1970. With the cut that has been covered a billion times, "I wish we'd all been ready". Killer song.
  5:24pm Martinibomb:

@Fab i think my niece is recording Queen's Break Free for Medium Cool
Avatar 5:27pm Mr Fab:

Awright! Everyone should check the archives of Martinibomb's show from last Wed to hear Martini-niece's vocal stylings.
Avatar 5:29pm Mr Fab:

"my albums since have been different- mainly in the absence of sex jokes/perversion" - will have to go thru my stack of old Frtyone CDs to find that stuff, bwa ha ha ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, I appreciated that very much too! Keep encouraging the kids! I'm very curious!
Avatar 5:30pm Don-O:

Poppin' Da "P"'s
Avatar 5:30pm Otis Fodder:

Yes, was listening in on MB's show on Wednesday while working. Here's a link, www.wfmu.org...
  5:30pm Fortyone:

@Fab aw man hahaha.
  5:31pm Martinibomb:

Yeah I wanna find all of 41s sex stuff now
  5:32pm Fortyone:

I tried so hard to not have Ps and Ts poppin' on my voice recordings for my set... didn't work very well. @MB aw man I DISCLAIM that stuff! lol
Avatar 5:32pm Don-O:

  5:32pm Fortyone:

"Reccuds" now that's how you say the word "records"!
  5:32pm Martinibomb:

Even better! Lol
Avatar 5:33pm Don-O:

Fortyone: I assume your site is still up. It's been awhile since I visited it.
  5:33pm Blair Sterrett:

Ever see any of Bert Tenzer's directed films like "2000 Years Later?" I only own the lobby cards for it.
  5:34pm Fortyone:

#Don-O, yep, still at 41music.net still with my late '90s style website haha
Avatar 5:34pm Otis Fodder:

Bert Tenzer is a goldmine, of samples.

No, never have seen the films. I actually just passed 4 LPs (including this one) to a friend. I have about 14 of Tenzer's recordings here. But I purge vinyl a lot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Blair!
Avatar 5:35pm Don-O:

This guys almost sounds like Sheldon from that TV show....only with a deeper bass
Avatar 5:36pm Otis Fodder:

I will play more Bert on shows. Some are just so amazing.
  5:36pm Blair Sterrett:

Hi Jan! It's my goal to own every Bert Tenzer record I think I only have around 10.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

"Welcome to fun with flags!"
Avatar 5:36pm Don-O:

I just got punch in the face by the 90's from 41's site.
Avatar 5:37pm Otis Fodder:

I didn't know you were a Tenzer collection Blair. I will keep that in mind if I run across more in the wild.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm Webhamster Henry:

This is really .. educational.
Avatar 5:38pm Otis Fodder:

I added this one to Discogs a few years back, www.discogs.com...
  5:39pm Fortyone:

@Don-O lol!
Avatar 5:39pm Don-O:

Now, I'm thinking of Dwight from that other TV show....
  5:39pm Blair Sterrett:

They are hard to come by. The ordered the last copy of "A new concept" on discogs years ago, but it was sent to the wrong buyer who wouldn't return it :( At least now I get to hear it :)
  5:40pm Blair Sterrett:

"I ordered"
Avatar 5:40pm Otis Fodder:

Ah, I just gave this one to a friend locally last month. If you want it super bad, Blair, he might be willing to pass it your way. I can ask.
Avatar 5:41pm Otis Fodder:

Blair - I'm still purging, you know me.
Avatar 5:41pm Mr Fab:

Wow, 41music.net - are all those links still good?
  5:42pm Blair Sterrett:

Well, only if he doesn't care about it much. I'll probably come across it someday I hope. Tenzer is always on my radar. Let me know about other purges. I'll pay for shipping etc :)
Avatar 5:43pm Otis Fodder:

"i will produce for you"... a radio show that will amuse and induce demented ideology of the past!
Avatar 5:43pm Don-O:

Drumroll for punctuation!!!
Avatar 5:44pm Otis Fodder:

Blair - Have purged almost all my spoken word records over the past couple of years. Not much spoken left here. I record it all first to sample or play. But now nothing in the stack. In time, I will keep you mind. Still digging and out as always here.
  5:45pm rich in Washington:

this is nuts, Otis!
Avatar 5:45pm Otis Fodder:

Blair - Post show I will send you a WAV of this BT recording.
  5:45pm Fortyone:

http://www.41music.net is my website and all links of my stuff should work- don't know about all the links in the "friends" section- haven
t updated that stuff in years and years
  5:45pm Blair Sterrett:

If you ever find "City in Orbit" let me know!
Avatar 5:46pm Otis Fodder:

I'm looking for the one!!
Avatar 5:47pm Don-O:

Too bad Wayne Butane's site hasn't been updated in years. I was curious what else was on his Flaming Canine label.
  5:48pm Fortyone:

I will look through my stuff, don't think I have any of this Bert guy but if I do I will ship it out. I should be purging... I'm at like 4,000 records, and for what? I'm a hoarder!
  5:48pm Blair Sterrett:

Thanks Otis :) I need to send you my MP3 for your March show, another new outsider DIY discovery from Maryland that somehow ended up in a thrift store here in Ogden.
Avatar 5:48pm Don-O:

In 30 seconds, this record will melt on your rekard player. Not our fault!
  5:48pm Fortyone:

@Don-O Wayne is doing his "Jukebox Jihad" podcast/show but yeah, not doing much else as Wayne Butane
  5:50pm Blair Sterrett:

Great show! I worked on my Valentine's Day newspaper comic strip while listening :)
Avatar 5:50pm Don-O:

I heard that his PC crashed when he was doing his X-mas album and he gave up on his collage stuff after that. Too bad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Jan Turkenburg:

Thanks for a really cool show, Otis. I'm off to bed now. Have a good evening (day, night or whatever) everyone!
Avatar 5:51pm Don-O:

Another Otis show Otis-ed!!
  5:51pm Blair Sterrett:

Good night :)
  5:51pm Fortyone:

See ya Jan!
Avatar 5:54pm Otis Fodder:

Thanks for listening all! Stay tuned for the Hour of Crap with Don-O. www.wfmu.org...
Avatar 5:54pm Mr Fab:

Supa fresh show, Otis.
  5:54pm Fortyone:

Thank ya Oaty McOats! Great show! See y'all next week Lord willing! Cheers everyone!
Avatar 5:55pm Otis Fodder:

MC Oaty in the house, for Friday, with Fortyone. Fresh!
  5:56pm Fortyone:

HA! dope!
Avatar 5:58pm Don-O:

I hope all of them aren't spitting on the mic.....
Avatar 6:00pm Otis Fodder:

The mic is soaked.
  11:55am jabbersquat:

Is there any way I could get a digital copy of the "We're the Robotunes" non-instrumental? That song haunts my dreams.
