Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm Passaic River Blues:

I believe Bryce played this last week (or somebody did at least); still awesome on second listening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Scott Williams:

Hey there pals! Happy to be here, spinning that Lard Free / Camizole track I heard Scott McDowell air last week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Dominick:

Oh man! It's 1969 and I'm smoking hash with Andy Zack at WPKN

Long Distance Poison!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm steveo:

hello! the first time i heard WPKN they were playing this amazing middle-eastern-sounding traditional instrument jam and the car radio said WPKN and I thought "maybe the PKN means that they only play really good Pakistani music"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Ike:

Wasn't Andy Zack a DJ on FMU in the 90s?
Avatar 3:30pm TDK60:

Hi Scott. I signed in, previewed my comment, posted, and now sit, listening attentively.
Avatar 3:31pm Bas NL:

^^^^^^^^^ They rarely make listeners like that anymore..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Dominick:

@Ike Yep, Andy did a short stint at FMU
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Scott Williams:

@Ike, you are correct. I was doing overnites when the schedule went Hour of Zack->Hour of Slack->Me

I got new headphones-the earduds died...
Avatar 3:46pm TDK60:

The "cans" ain't working right? // Okay, egg nog: like or not? discuss please. // That Zwerling had an English freak-folk feel, did it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm tim from champaign:

Why are you in the boxcar, Scott? Getting ready for the marathon already?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm tim from champaign:

Did the mattresses that John Allen is collecting take over the regular studio?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Ike:

Oh wow, that's a blast from the past, Scott. As a night owl, I'd occasionally hear the first 30 min. or first hour of your show, but since there weren't archives yet (I think), that's all I'd ever catch -- unless I left a cassette running to get another 45 minutes after falling asleep!
Avatar 3:50pm TDK60:

..public admission: I do like egg nog.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm chresti:

I like egg nog if it's not too sweet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm Scott Williams:

I like eggnog, I don't care for John Allen's mattress collection but I love him, and we're not already in Marathon prep mode
Avatar 3:56pm TDK60:

..chresti -how goes? Yes, less sweet is better. I drink regular milk egg nog, and vegan, just for fun. // Does Gong3 remind me of The Ex?
  3:56pm Truth Nog:

i like Egg-the band.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm chris:

hi, Scott and folks. i like the musics here. and i like eggnog, properly spiked, of course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm ⓘⓚⓔ:

JA's mattresses aren't real, that story is just a cover for his collection of dead clones of smooth jazz artists. He's been cloning them but each one is just a little bit wrong and lacking that talent for that relaxing smooth sound, so he snuffs 'em and stores the bodies in Monty Hall, where they've been piling up, along with Matt's warped clones of Don Felder, and now they've reached the second floor, where the main studio is located. The DJs have had to retreat up to the 4th floor boxcar studio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm chresti:

TDK60- going good, just got off work and ready to unwind, thanks. You're in good spirits with your egg nog, I hope.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm el_musgo:

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH great show, again Scott! thx.
Avatar 4:04pm TDK60:

..chresti> off work, yes! Well, I'm in a public library right now where egg nog drinking is strictly prohibited. Gotta wait til I get home to open the egg nog carton.
  4:11pm melinda:

Avatar 4:53pm northguineahills:

TDK has more WFMU cred then anyone here save Scott and maybe Bas! I'd need a few abacuses to figure out where I'd be, cred-wise, but I don't do rankings (whoops, I just did).

Victor Jara, mi heroe! (Ochs and Dylan hung out w/ him a year before Pinochet took over and executed him the most gruesome public manner)>
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54pm chris:

  5:11pm McGreivey:

I dunno who Ed Sunspot is, but if I'm tempted to play Pink Floyd, Gong or Daevid Allen is usually a more interesting substitute. Here, I would play eighties Daevid Allen.
  5:12pm melinda:

I'm looking at the Light in the Attic zine no. 10, on the cover is Haruomi Hosono in a meeting in a recording studio wearing what looks like t-strap ladies shoes with pale socks. Cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm Carmichael:

Heya Scott and folkies. I will be in LA for the next few days. What's the weather like down there?
Avatar 5:17pm Chris from DC:

Really liking Voetvolk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm Passaic River Blues:

@Melinda: I love that image.
Avatar 5:18pm Bas NL:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm Carmichael:

Anyone who doesn't get Eugene Chadbourne needs to play an electric fish. That's not a euphemism for anything, by the way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48pm Rich in Washington:
