Ken From Hyde Park:

For what'sever reason, I remember hearing "Brandy" when mom was driving us back after a trip to the grocery store. Funny what a person remembers like that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:40pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44pm

Not Bread!
  9:44pm
Zardoz:

Play Down on My Knees by Bread
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm
Fuzzy:

Bread seems to be the generic term for early 70's soft rock.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Zardoz: I wish I could. It's an excellent song but not a hit.
  9:47pm
Cooh John:

A friend's mom had all of Bread on 8 track.
  9:47pm
Zardoz:

WFMU is not about hits. It’s about going off the rails.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm
Nardo:

Here's a minor 72 hit that doesn't belong but I remember it from one of those Have a Nice Day Rhino comps and it's worth the listen - Giorgio "Son of My Father" (wait til the show is over of course) youtu.be...

JakeGould:

@Zardoz: WFMU is also not about playing requests. Unless Amazon or Apple create a “Hey Gaylord…” function. Now that would be something!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm
coelacanth∅:

Yay Carole King!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Nardo: I almost played it, but it wasn't a big enough hit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm
Booz:

@pp Would say that they both have soft-ish urbane feel, but don't actually sound like KC. If you're looking for that lush voice, try Rumer, & her album Boys Don't Cry.
  9:53pm
JakeGould:

Bread, Hot Tuna, Humble Pie, Canned Heat… Old bands really sound some some kinda nursing home lunch menu!
  9:53pm
andrewb:

Irwin I was just grating some cheddar and I laughed to myself that I knew those things are called slots. Then I thought I should tell Gaylord but that would've been too inside for the playlist. Now that I see you're here tho...
