An aural oasis with music and guests
live music, and chitchat and the records we get
a party with small talk and jesting and jeering
but really our main goal is to leave your ears cheering

Stump is the best.
Swag For Life Member 6:05pm Xyrus Blaze:

I had to login just to say that.

Watching woofmoo broadcasts at work is always disorienting as my phone (for the stream sound) is delayed from the video.

I'm Southern born, Southern bred, and will be eventually Southern dead (that's a saying down here).
Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Xyrus Blaze:

@northguineahills I'm southern born, southern bred, and I've never heard that saying, but I'm into it.
Avatar 6:13pm northguineahills:

@Xyrus Blaze: I'm in Florigia... (I'm sort of cheating on Southern born, I was born south of the Mason-Dixon in WV, but soon moved south. I did live after college in NYC for quite a while as well, but, I recently took a job down south again).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm chris:

dance freakout!
Swag For Life Member 6:16pm Xyrus Blaze:

@northguineahills I'm from Jacksonville FL. A lot of people Say that aint the south but a lot of people haven't lived there. Ha.
Avatar 6:17pm northguineahills:

My phone is a good 2 mins behind the video...., la risa en voz alta

@Xyrus Blaze: I grew up in OP, after NYC, I took a job in G-ville last summer (I was in NYC forever, rent got to me).
Avatar 6:18pm northguineahills:

I had a lot of artsy redneck friends in Middleburg growing up, that's where I learned redneck culture....
  6:19pm matt:

that's like a dirtbag-variant of clay
Swag For Life Member 6:22pm Xyrus Blaze:

Ha, close to home- I grew up in riverside. I wouldn't peg Middleburg as a place for artsy rednecks, but nothing there really surprises me.
NYC rent is getting to me, but I have to be here X years after college before I can leave.
G-ville is sick tho. You should check out the punk rock wrestling circuit.
Avatar 6:24pm northguineahills:

All of my J-ville friends live in Riverside/Avondale (and a few at the beaches).
  6:27pm Xyrus Blaze:

If you like WFMU and artsy rednecks, we probably run in the same circles.
Avatar 6:30pm northguineahills:

When I first moved to G-ville, I was looking for a dive bar near my office, and found a redneck bar. Half the clientele were gay (it's a fun place). But as you know, G-ville is an oasis of culture surrounded by derp.
  6:33pm Xyrus Blaze:

Sounds like uneasy rider 88 by Charlie Daniels. Ha.
I feel you. J-ville is the same way.
Avatar 6:37pm northguineahills:

The wife is still in Brooklyn, she got a promotion right after I accepted this job, so, I'm still paying rent in Brooklyn, and it just went up (at least she covers most of it)
Swag For Life Member 6:42pm Xyrus Blaze:

Haha, sortof defeats the purpose of escaping NY rent. At least you get to experience the South Georgia swamp atmosphere. Great for your skin.
Avatar 6:52pm northguineahills:

I work for an Environmental Science startup, (mapping, spatial database management), so, I do volunteer to go swamping. At least it's a full-time job w/ benefits. In NYC I was freelancing in the gig economy, wife got let go of her job, got cancer, and we had to pay out-of-pocket. I liquidating my 401ks, and got offered this job, after she got hired and then promoted. Still better off then we were. My house is three times larger the the Brooklyn apt, and less then 1/3 the rent.

Happy day, I got half my woofmoo swag yesterday! (I'm hoping the other half is waiting for me at home!)
Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Xyrus Blaze:

I'm tempted to go back for that reason ( plus the swampy skin care). I could live for basically nothing while sourcing cheap motorcycles for chopping. Definitely a smart move on your part.

Thanks Janky, Dr Danny and friends. It was a blast!
