I was listening to some of the other freeform stations like WFMU, like KEXP, KCRW and WWOZ. The only station that had the welcoming homey vibe was WWOZ. They cover genres not really explored in depth so maybe they would not be considered really freeform, but maybe freeform in their genres of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Bluegrass. I expected more of the same, but it wasn’t out there. So I guess I am saying this station is a real jewel.
