Why does this remind me of "Rhythm of the Heat"? Hello Samantha, all!

Hey, Samantha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm karlward:

That transition into "Strange" was amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:04pm karlward:

Somebody contact Wire right away and let them know that they need a horn section.

what karlward said....
Avatar 5:06pm Samantha:

Ha thank you! I'm so pissed I ejected the CD by accident-I'm in the new Studio
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I can imagine the smart CD players of the future going "Are you sure you want to do that, Samantha?"
Avatar 5:10pm northguineahills:

Getting my gardening on. I haven't gardened outside of my Brooklyn nanogardens on my fire escapes before, so, I have no idea what to do w/ so much space (and didn't realize how much physical effort is required.)

@North, I keep thinking about getting one of those tiny little greenhouses for my fire escape. Just for some herbs or maybe hot peppers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35pm medson:

Kick ass start to the show. DAMN!
Avatar 5:38pm djsheilab:

Hey girl! I just logged onto my Twitter and saw this comment from a gal named Jenn Atocha: "that jazz song into Wire is the best & craziest cross fade I have ever heard! You are a genius.
Avatar 5:38pm djsheilab:

I told her that that genius is you! Xoxo

  5:56pm Mark Williams:

that Dirty Songs record is just about my fave thing so far this year.
  5:58pm Mark Williams:

and hi Samantha and all. Are there any listeners from Mississippi? Work has me here and I'm going to guess I might be the only one sat here who's listening in tonight...
Avatar 6:01pm glenn:

i'm next door to mississauga. close enough?
Avatar 6:01pm TehBadDr:

Oi! Samantha's bed sounds and fry!
  6:05pm Mark Williams:

close enough for me, Glenn. I was at a bar earlier where they had tv sets immediately above the urinals. [insert 'taking the piss' joke]
Avatar 6:05pm Stashu:

I love the weird world of sounds you present to us! Aaaand I can relate- that small studio is too small to dance in! <3 Loving the show as usual! Thank you Sam!
Avatar 6:06pm Samantha:

Thank you Sheila! whats up Mark and everyone
Avatar 6:09pm glenn:

from the palmer report, the best thing i've read today
"At this point Robert Mueller is going to bust Donald Trump’s uncle’s cousin’s ex-wife’s former roommate for removing the tags from his mattresses, just to make Trump squirm".
  6:12pm P-90:

Great show Samantha! xxx
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I think I'm in need of music played on glass instruments and also sounds of breaking glass and such. Wherever could a person acquire such a compilation?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm Rand al'Thor:

Listened to this for several weekends in a row now, first time hanging out on the comments board. Enjoying what I'm hearing.

Samantha, your sets are so diverse and interesting, I have to thank you for playing all this stuff I'd never have heard otherwise. I guess that's the magic of FMU and your show!
  6:26pm buddy:

Great show today, thanks
6:27pm Dave in Vermont on the phone:

This set is so good. Will have to catch the earlier parts on the archive.
Thank you.
  6:31pm david from ks.:

,,,,I had a feeling i may have found a purpose for listening long enough. I am amazingly concerned that not many people seemed concerned that what We have for a livable planet is just about to be lost to a brand name government who could care less about planet Earth. It is
A GIANT ERROR to have sold Your mother for the price of a cheap cellphone. Please wake be fore SHE is gone FOREVER,,geoengineeringwatch.com to see where We are!,,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Michele:

Wow I love this track Sam!
  6:36pm david from ks.:

,,thanks for the space ! and Love Your Mother!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@Michele - What show(s) are you co-hosting this year? Is there a web page that shows the co-host schedule?
Avatar 6:45pm TehBadDr:

Michele stops by! 8^}
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Drunken Creep:

Started this listen in a work vehicle... said to coworker "Is it time for Samantha's Show already?" A conversation ensued about the theoretical notion that time is accelerating and we may have some perception of that. I joked "In all this traffic, I wish this truck was the only thing accelerating!" He laughed and gave a high five. Okay, the previous two sentences are not true. Glad to be listening from home now, sounding great!
6:46pm Dave in Vermont on the phone:

Oooh, Ken, excellent question.
  6:47pm K&M:

We’re in Samantha’s place
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm RomanDogBird:

you gotta get hip to the City, sam (so do i actually)
Avatar 6:49pm madman:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Joel:

It was actually released in 2006, Samantha. The artists names are: Benjamin Whistler, Geoffrey Chaucer, Nathan Detroit and Phillip Greenhill
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm Joel:

Ooopss sorry, that was re-release date.. Initial release was 1968..
Avatar 6:52pm Samantha:

ooo thank you very much
  6:56pm Peter from Dover NJ:

@ Joel Geoffrey Chaucer, back from the dead after all these years.

@Samantha: very nice program. thank you.
  6:57pm david from ks.:

,,,Time has gotten away from Us All at an amazing acceleration rate. Do You all live on planet Earth or is this imagined?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm WillCrete:

Wow. That previous "sting invocation" piece was just beautiful. Gotta learn more about this "Fossil Aerosol Mining Project" for sure. Seemingly, some Chicago/ Illinois connection from what I can quickly gather... Ever onward and thanks for the music this Sunday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm DC:

Love that music fade out while lead melody remains at full volume
  7:12pm david from ks.:

,,,Fossil Aerosol Mining Project? If that does not catch You at a cellular level nothing will!
Avatar 7:15pm TDK60:

Here I am fading in.... Fossil Aerosol Mining Project was discussed on Bryce's show a few days ago. San Fran. Found sound, maybe a lot of analog?
Avatar 7:17pm TehBadDr:

Is this that "New Wave" music I've been hearing all about?
  7:18pm JakeGould:

What year is this from?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Joel:

Samantha. You create such a diverse sonic palette. Sounds, both rhythmic and arrhythmic, spartan notes, loquacious melodies. Darting back and forth across the spectrum like a musical hummingbird, tasting first this, then that . Or, put another way, all killer, no filler :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm WillCrete:

@TDK60- Thanks for the tip on Fossil Aerosol. Definitely going to do some further digging/ listening in their direction.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm melinda:

Hi all! I don't comment much but Samantha you always have great shows.
Avatar 7:25pm TDK60:

Funny: sometimes new wave from 1978 - '87 sounds dated; other times very fresh; depends on my ears that day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Ha ha ... the acoustic coupler!
  7:28pm david from ks.:

Oxygen is a necessity of life also or I thought. It used to be anyway! The strife of Love in a dream if that is not where I seem to be at this moment. And it is a conspiricy of ALL of the above.
Avatar 7:28pm TDK60:

Great Plains -great Columbus band. Saw 'em play circa '87, to about 7 audience members. (Not same band as newer G.P. from Hudson valley.)
  7:30pm cheri:

Hi, Samantha. This has been a great show!!! I hate to see it end because...well you can guess why. Yuck. Great job and I can't wait to hear it you again!!!
  7:32pm david from ks.:

Wow! Pierre Bastien on the playlist!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm DC:

dug that foxygen
Avatar 7:37pm TehBadDr:

"acoustic coupler"? That's the sound of machines shaking hands!
And now more of Samantha's bed noise and fry, love it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm medson:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm DC:
