Baby, I loved my time with you and your family, as well as my time on the East Coast so much, that I wrote a song about it. Here goes:
Weep no more, my lady, Oh! weep no more to-day! We will sing one song for the old Montclair, NJ. Home, For the old Montclair, NJ. Home far away.
And to my friends out there and everywhere, (Any Michael Shelley show fan, is a friend of mine), good morning!

My dad worked on Louis' house back in the early 70s as a plumber and met him awkwardly. My dad was working in his bathroom and Louis walked in wearing a towel wanting to take a shower. He wasn't expecting my dad to be there and was startled; "holy shit! you nearly scared me to death!" "Sorry Mr. Armstrong, just fixing your sink."

Surprised to not hear Denise LaSalle, who died this week, played on WFMU. I thought Sheila might cover her, but she was busy producing an awesome tribute to France Gall.

Unseen movies: "Dangerous Beauty"---sexy historical drama about a courtesan; "Dark City"---dreamlike fantasy that came out BEFORE "The Matrix." As for '70s movies: "Scarecrow"---Pacino and Hackman in a sort of Mice & Men-style drama, don't know why it didn't become a hit.

I misspoke on the Elliott Smith reference. It's Say Yes, that the Pavement song is borrowing from, liberally

Wow, never heard MS sing on his own. Yes, a great songwriter was in "Jacques Brel" on Broadway, also acted (in "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane" w/Jodie Foster, speaking of unjustly-forgotten movies). He died just months after Doc Pomus, his co-writer.
