Hi Chris!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Rob Kopp:

This afternoon I received a 7" with one of the best tracks of 2017: Darling by the Womack Sisters (heard it on SBB for the first time). It's not officially released, but I just wanted it in my jukebox, so I ordered for a specially pressed single (just 1 copy). The original Darling, come back home by The Valentinos (with 5 Womack Brothers) is on the b-side.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm Rob Kopp:

Sometimes I order for those singles when I think the tracks are so good, but not on 7". I received 4 of them today. The other 3 were Lucinda Willams: Blue / Right in time, Them: My lonely sad eyes / Could you would you and a rockabilly split-7": James Gallagher: Ford and shaker / Terrigan Brothers: Hi ho little girl

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm The Oscar:

@NotARealDoctor He didn't have much to *do* with anything, but he was one of the few cast members to survive. The last shot is him shaking his hips surrounded by assorted wildlife coming out of the wreckage. God I love that movie.
Avatar 3:22pm NotARealDoctor:

Haha, okay! I should probably rent that. I remember my dad and grandfather took me to go see it when I was a kid. It came out a year or so before my granddad passed away.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm The Oscar:

Also surprisingly subversive for a big Hollywood blockbuster-- I've always seen it as an evil twin/Mad Magazine version of Independence Day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Michael 98145:

Mars Attacks is fun. I think we snuck out of work one day to see it.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm chris:

mars attacks is laugh out loud fun. absolutely nothing important about the film, unless you need a laugh. it will forever color your viewing of the alien visit genre. it was all i was thinking about when i watched independence day.

CMG-NGM-PDE Lyrics: Comigo ninguém pode e é melhor se acostumar

CMG "Comigo," NGM "ninguém, PDE "pode"

Google Translate:
"With me no one can and it is better to get accustomed"

In Spanish "no puedes conmigo" means something like "you can't handle me" (and you better get used to it)

and she's on her back growling for attention/
are we Frances, or are we human"

We even have verses and dance moves to go with it!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Ken From Hyde Park:

WFMU should have a show where the DJ and comments board write a song together in real time. Could you imagine?

Avatar 4:49pm djsheilab:

Thanks diciassette—I'll give that a listen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm Carmichael:

The Sinatra song is great when you suffer from liefdesverdriet = lovesickness. In that case we use the abbreviation LDVD, pronounced as Luddevedu

@The Contessa: When i was 20, a friend and I drove 6 hours to Atlanta to see Stereolab, and we got there a good four hours early. We went back to our car when their tour bus pulled up. Laetitia and Morghane got off and hung out w/ us and got coffee w/ us. They were very affable, and we were dumbstruck.
