Listener comments!

Avatar 7:02pm dale:

huh? where's hearty's comments board?
  7:02pm Old Dave:

Am I in the future?
Avatar 7:03pm dale:

let's run with it old dave
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm chris:

time warp!
  7:04pm Old Dave:

Great, dale. Let's talk about motorcycle trips we've enjoyed.
Or something...
Avatar 7:04pm dale:

i have so much stuff. it made me feel fulfilled when i found it during bilk collection night in brooklyn or at the salvation army or at a thrift shop. now it's just a lot of crap to dust and trip over.
Avatar 7:07pm dale:

i was working on my 1982 gl500 silverwing interstate today. i had to change the water pump seal and do some other crap to it. then i rode it and asked myself 'why do i own this bike? it's like riding a turd.' it was the best 1982 had to offer though.
  7:07pm matt in space:

I heart hearty
Avatar 7:08pm dale:

he's on a plane right now so maybe he doesn't know it all went to pot.
  7:10pm sheepfriend:

i wanna see a horders house
  7:11pm Old Dave:

As it happens, dale,
we are selling our first house in Canada next week.
I will be moving the important stuff to a farm nearby.
The new owners were thrilled we threw in so much shiny stuff on the deal
My one old ride was a Vespa GS 250 that I traded for a tractor. This is useful stuff!
The Harley Road King is not going North. Ever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Fox:

My favorite comic book villain(s) is/are The Interior Brigade. They break into people's homes and rearrange the furniture in such a way that drives one of the members of the household homicidally insane.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm coelacanth∅:

i'm going to pretend this is Hearty's comment board.
...Howdy Hearty! and Miraculous Healthnuts!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm coelacanth∅:

smiling buildings smiling buildings sometimes they don't tell the truth.
Avatar 7:14pm dale:

i have too many bikes, and that equates to too many batteries and too many tires and too much insurance and too much registration fees. and the old carbureted ones are a pain in the ass.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm common:

you should call it the bakery, hearty!
Avatar 7:15pm dale:

what kind of tractor? i have a farmall cub. actually, i have a cub highboy and a cub lowboy
Avatar 7:17pm glenn:

my wife left me for a tractor salesman.

i got a john deere letter.
Avatar 7:17pm dale:

wa wahhhh
  7:17pm Old Dave:

Understood, dale. My old Moto Guzzi had 2 carbs and 2 sets of points.
I am a sucker for Italian machines.
Avatar 7:18pm dale:

kraft caramels....mmmmm. and when you got a chocolate one in the bag that was like winning the lottery.
Avatar 7:18pm dale:

which guzzi - ambassador?
Avatar 7:19pm dale:

i have a late 60s stornello basket case i paid $50 for, but i have a title for it so i could sell the title and frame and make some profit
  7:20pm Old Dave:

It was a California Police model, shaft drive. Eldorado, I think?
Avatar 7:20pm dale:

won't dave the spazz be surprised come nine o'clock?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm coelacanth∅:

Hearty you could've put your child ring on that watch chain.
Avatar 7:22pm glenn:

i grew up with massey harris and massey ferguson, with a couple of cases and a neufeld. we never actually owned a john deere.
Avatar 7:23pm dale:

friend i ride with sometimes is 82 (!) and rides a griso. he has 80,000 miles on it and has only changed tires and a timing belt.
Avatar 7:23pm glenn:

Avatar 7:24pm dale:

ferguson got screwed over by henry ford.
Avatar 7:24pm glenn:

oops. nuffield.
Avatar 7:25pm dale:

glenn - i always wanted a masey harris pony. my wife is putting food on a plate so i'll be silent for a while.
  7:25pm Old Dave:

There are so many nice Massey tractors in Canada, glenn.
I am told your government helps farmers there buy JD mega tractors and dispose of them
cheap here in the US. With your tax $$, of course!
Avatar 7:25pm glenn:

same masseys as massey hall, by the way.
  7:26pm Old Dave:

I actually learned to drive on an MF 135. Perkins diesel and indestructible!
Avatar 7:27pm glenn:

do they? it wouldn't surprise me, but still - not trump.
  7:37pm Old Dave:

Silver maples are a bad idea, Hearty is correct.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm coelacanth∅:

-like celebrating christopher columbus?
Avatar 7:42pm dale:

really?! i saw chris deburgh at massey hall in 1980. he was good then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm common:

why would you ever get rid of those tiles?!!!!
Avatar 7:44pm glenn:

oh, and the harrises were the family of lawren harris, of group of seven renown.
Avatar 7:46pm dale:

newish house a few miles away has light pink siding and pepto pink shutters. i'm sure the husband is henpecked.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm coelacanth∅:

the house my father grew up in, which i spent summers at until i was 12, had stucko on the inside walls. i hated it as a child because it hurt to run my filthy hands across. when they decided to sell the house (for 1/2 what they should have to the supposed friend next door) they smoothed out all that stucko - for a lot of money.
i realise now how amazingly well sound-insulated that house was because of that stucko.
  7:46pm Old Dave:

Every Realtor is trained to insist you should hire a painter they know to spray neutral colors
or the place will never sell. Don't they get something back from their painters for selling this idea?
Avatar 7:47pm glenn:

sorry, man. stucco.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm coelacanth∅:

- i grew up in a pink house! my parents bought "beige" but it was off, and quickly aged to pink. when i was a teenager thay painted it blue.
Avatar 7:48pm dale:

houses on the market should look like a neutral palette - that's why it's done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm coelacanth∅:

"stucco"; "they"....
Avatar 7:49pm glenn:

oh, fuck the realtor. anybody buying a house is going to paint it the colours they want anyway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm common:

I saw a mantis and a rat yesterday. and a paper enemy
Avatar 7:49pm glenn:

anyway, dinner awaits. toodley pip.
Avatar 7:51pm dale:

i've painted a couple of houses that the interiors would make you gag, they were so whacked out colorwise. white trim and 'builder's beige' and people see possibilities. they see their own bad taste but that's beside the point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm melinda:

hi everyone! playlist is up now!
  7:55pm Old Dave:

The weird wallpaper in nice old houses was never attractive to me dale. It usually hid crumbling plaster.
But it did the job a century ago...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm coelacanth∅:

yeah the whole thing is a scam. i think most people can imagine what they'd do with those walls regardless of what's on them; and some people wont get excited over the possibilities of a house if it's all white &/or bland.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm coelacanth∅:

...and i've seen this happen a few times, where the house was on the market just as long, or longer, after it was whitewashed as it was before that.
  7:56pm Old Dave:

Hearty White is a gem, and this show is one of his best yet.
Avatar 7:57pm Fredericks:

Hearty this has been a great one. These reminders are important. Thanks for doing this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm coelacanth∅:

talk about miracles! Thanks Kenzo!
Avatar 7:59pm dale:

hearty has wallpapered the beige satin paint on the walls of my soul.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm melinda:

I guess it was just me missing the playlist, oh well. Thanks Hearty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm chris:

thanks, Hearty! and thanks, Kenzo, but now my time warp comment is meaningless. like lawn furniture to its former owner.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Hearty! Excellent as always!
Avatar 8:00pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@chris: Happy to defunct
  8:01pm Old Dave:

I have a painter friend who gets big pay for zebra stripes in Main Line Philly homes.
He knows his niche.
