No April Fool's joke, but the timing is appropriate: THE THREE STOOGES on Antenna TV today. 4:00 PM "Fuelin' Around,"
7:00 PM "Punchy Cowpunchers." Why soitenly. Put it on with WFMU on.
  3:09pm Badbrain:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Did Dave Davies bring Elvis Costello with him today?

  3:29pm Elvis Costello:

I'm still mad that Michael Shelley didn't put me on live this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Village Green' is the Great 60s Album still waiting to be proclaimed more broadly & 'mainstreamed'...
Avatar 3:31pm geezerette:

@RevRab: True!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Greg from ZONE 5:

@Elvis: Weren't you one of the Jerky Boys?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm charbird:

@Joe B: Well, it's April Fools Day, and having spent some time with TOPT, I thought maybe the Dave Davies interview could be a hoax. But, on the other hand, you and TOPT seem to know everyone, so I'm hoping it's legit.
  3:34pm V Priceless:

yeah!! Woo!
Avatar 3:35pm Joe B:

Char i was just referring to the todd foolery part of your comment - he's always up to something!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm Rob Kopp:

About 2 years ago I found the 12-track version of the VGPS-LP. The Norwegian pressing, the only one with the intended sleeve
  3:48pm miles:

I've experienced actual party lines in the 70s Wisconsin
  3:49pm miles:

@Robb the mono version huh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Rob Kopp:

Unfortunately Dave is the only original member of The Kinks who hasn't played on one of the fan meetings of the Dutch Kinks Preservation Society. We had Pete in 2005, Ray in 2009 and Mick on a lot of meetings as member of The Kast Off Kinks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Rob Kopp:

@Miles: No, the stereo LP
  3:51pm Spooner:

This trunk has nothing but old take-out boxes and stolen bowling shoes, Todd.
  3:53pm Pete Quaif:

Bit of a Kinks theme, that notion, it seems.

...I'm a boy but my ma won't admit it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm Rob Kopp:

Saw Dave the 18th of december 2015 in London where Ray joined at the end. I finally got Dave's autograph on the picture disc of the 1st Kinks LP. Now I have all 4 autographs!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm common:

Well said, todd
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Frank Above:

Joe, the do-rag is the source of his power.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Rob Kopp:

One fine day by Shel Naylor was the very first Kinks cover!
  4:10pm Matt:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm Tommy in Neversink:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm common:

  4:28pm Sean B.:

Dave seems like a very practical minded & extremely kind human being judging from that priceless interview.

before Mathis was a country artist also named Johnny Mathis. The crooner dude eclipsed the country dude so he became known as Country Johnny Mathis. He's got some GREAT stuff
Avatar 4:49pm farmer pete:

Dang, found a couple good y'alternative tunes here...
Avatar 4:50pm farmer pete:

I always thought Campbell was too good to be in this band.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@farmer pete: That's MagneticFields w/ Stephin Merritt. I would posit that TheKinks are the foundation for a whole style of SmartPop in Rawk, & that includes them...
Avatar 4:50pm farmer pete:

Yep... I was being post-ironic. Thanks for the reminder though. Magnetic Fields...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...sure - I wanted to make that point anyhow...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm Paulie B:

  5:02pm listener #126464:

really enjoyed Cut Worms set with full band and pedal steel player on the stacked bill in feb. at bowery ballroom w/Savoy Motel and The Lemon Twigs. nice crowd for all the bands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I'd like to know if Cut Worms' name comes from the agricultural pest with that moniker.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Switchblade Batman:

For some reason @Ken, I'm thinking that old YA Novel, how to eat fried worms
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Switchblade Batman:

That's just what it reminds me of
  5:13pm Melissa:

Saw him open for Jessica Pratt at Trans-pecos in Brooklyn last September. He rules! Swoon tunes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm melville:

I was thinking William Blake.
