Dig it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am Whosondephone:

I'm so excited I have a radio in my home! I just have to fix the cable that is spewing out noise. Reception is fair though.
  12:30am PMD:

Beautiful music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am Whosondephone:

And a new favorite program!
Avatar 12:33am Jeff Conklin:

Hello, new people!

@whosondephone: Don't you love messing with the antenna until you geta good signal??
Avatar 12:34am geezerette:

Feel like I'm staring at crystals. That's actually a good thing. :)
  12:34am Mario:

Good morning, Jeff and everyone. Enjoying the show from the beggining...
Avatar 12:36am Jeff Conklin:

Thank you, Ike and PMD.

Hello, Mario.

Anyone recognize this tune yet?
  12:42am rw:

This tune sounded a little familiar to me for a second but then I lost it. Now I'm curious!
  12:43am Mario:

It sounds like a traditional folk, but cant remember the name...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am Whosondephone:

@jeff Conklin: Unfortunately the ground going to the cable system is not connected. Doesn't matter where the antenna is facing.

It was very nice tweaking the boom box antenna. It's been almost a decade.
Avatar 12:47am Hagbard Celine:

sounding like pigpen era grateful dead to me!
  12:48am rw:

Now I want to say the melody is a Robert Fripp loop riff... or maybe Steve Reich... Probably way out of the ballpark.
  12:49am Mario:

And a bit Ethiopia by Bill Laswell
Avatar 12:49am Jeff Conklin:

Hagbard got it.

It's the main melody from the Dead's cover of Bobby Blue Bland's 'Turn on Your Lovelight"
  12:50am rw:

Hagbard Celine! Nice!
Avatar 12:51am Hagbard Celine:

turn on your love light. dont know who wrote it. but this song says pigpen
  12:52am Mark r:

I think Bobby "Blue" Bland wrote it. Or at least recorded it.
Avatar 12:53am Hagbard Celine:

thx rw. when more of these melodies came in, i could hear it. and the name helped give it away.
  12:53am Mario:

  12:56am katharsis:

its been on for a while. its somewhat absurd. yet...
Avatar 12:57am Hagbard Celine:

i wonder are a lot of tuluum shimmering's dozens of releases based on a similar premise? all i know about this artist is you played something a few weeks ago that i liked as well.
Avatar 1:01am Scraps:

shoot, missed Popol Vuh.

Avatar 1:02am Scraps:

oh man. i'm really, really sorry.
  1:05am bbb:

Well said Jeff. Thank you for the healing music. Very tragic...
  1:06am Mario:

Sad news.
Avatar 1:07am Scraps:

i copyedited a book about the Providence (? I forget so much these days) fire, 100 people, music fans, died for things that could have been prevented.... it was horrible.
  1:07am Brent.:

Thanks, Jeff. Needed this. Beautiful tribute.
  1:07am rw:

Nice tribute JC. Thank you for that.
Avatar 1:08am Scraps:

the Station fire, Great White concert
  1:11am Mark r:

Digging this Swedish psychedelia. It seems that every country had its own psychedelic scene, sometimes years after ours. But time is an illusion, and great lysergic minds think alike!
Avatar 1:16am Hagbard Celine:

So killer good! Never heard Kvartetten.
  1:19am rw:

Yeah, I was reading about the Oakland tragedy this morning and thinking how many times I've been to spaces just like that. Often for shows. Very sad.
Avatar 1:20am Scraps:

i hope it wasn't pyrotechnics again
Avatar 1:21am Scraps:

i just was reading about the Station fire... I had to stop
  1:23am Mario:

Great BBiB release again! Hope we will work together soon with us, your spanish mates!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24am fleep:

"Gas-powered generators were used to run small space heaters, and propane tanks placed indoor by the exits fueled other heaters" at the space in Oakland.
  1:25am Brent.:

This is the greatest Doobie Bros. outtake you've ever played! ;)
Avatar 1:26am Jeff Conklin:

There is plenty of time to talk about the mechanics of the tragedy but now is not it. Thank you.
  1:27am Brent.:

Srsly. Just the beginning. Totally early Doobies. Then it became something else.
Avatar 1:28am Scraps:

Sorry, he was answering my question, I think. I'm sorry, Jeff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28am fleep:

I was responding to Scraps. You may delete the remark. I am as upset as anyone.
