Oi Scott!
How's the rest of last night fare?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Scott Williams:

Ahoy, pals! @Greg, thanks for coming out - it packed up & ran late. A nice time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Greg from ZONE 5:

McGasko's favorite…
  3:08pm Polyus:

Normally I would think a more traditional rock band trying to cover Suicide would be a terrible idea, but that Sods track was great.
Avatar 3:08pm herb.nyc:

Hi. Am using this music to get psyched for the Feelies , tonight. I wonder if they'll need to be bleeped as well.

Hi Melinda
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm steve:

in the early 2000s, i took a girl i'd just met and who'd never heard of Suicide on our first date to see them headline at the old Knitting Factory. it worked out well, ~15 years later i still haven't found a better litmus test.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Scott Williams:

amazing test, Steve! are you still together?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Planet Tyler:

Spacemen 3 coming up?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm steve:

ha no... but in a coincidence, years later, a different g/f and i saw Alan Vega at some random bar restaurant in the Financial District. i didnt get to talk to him but remember thinking he was a charismatic dude... on and off stage. i saw them a bunch of times, they were so great. i remember people went nuts at that one Knitting Factory show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm Scott Williams:

@Planet Tyler, of course! do you have a preferred version?
  3:32pm jellybeans:

I want to hit the beach and surf listening to this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm Scott Williams:

watching Nick Cave spazz-dance to Suicide's set at ATP Kutshers was most memorable!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm Planet Tyler:

Any S3 is good with me. Wasn't there a flexi-only version of Che if we want to get WFMU level nerdy about it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm Scott Williams:

haha, probably - but I was thinking of Sunn 0)))'s version of Che
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm Planet Tyler:

Well I havent heard the Sunn 0))) I dont think. And whats this about Nick Cave spazzing out? Missed that.
Avatar 3:37pm northguineahills:

oh, yeah, classic Spacemen!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Stanley:

Avatar 3:44pm Chris from DC:

Loop's Rocket USA would also be good.

did not get to see SUICIDE way early on, when they were playing places like CBGBs and Max's (although i did try the Max's cocktail named after them!) -- but was at least lucky enough to catch them a bit later, at Hurrah's
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Rich in Washington:

I love this album and its followup.
This album in particular seems like it comes from the same planet as My Life in the Bush of Ghosts and some of the early Material singles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Scott Williams:

  5:48pm flashbazbo:

You think that e maccoll was on the wrong side of history about Dylan etc. but in the end his song was bigger than anything Dylan did. Only part of the story of course. And he hated flacks version
