Kavala Brass Band featuring Lefteris Bournias

Live performance: Brass Band Dance Music from Greek Macedonia. Featuring the clarinetist Lefteris Bournias and members of the Zlatne Uste Balkan Brass Band.

The Zlatne Uste Band and a variant of the Kavala Band (without Lefteris) will be performing (along with lots of other bands and ensembles, brass and otherwise) at the Zlatne's annual Golden Festival of Eastern European dance music Friday January 17 and Saturday Jan 18.  Here are the details:

Friday Jan 17 at Hungarian House, 213 E 82nd St, Manhattan starting at 7:30 with a dance workshop followed by live music by the Kolevs and friends, the Zlatne Uste Band, and Souren Baronian, Haig Manoukian and friends.

Saturday Jan 18 at Good Shepherd School, 620 Isham St (near 207 St and Broadway) in upper Manhattan with the Zlatne Uste Band, Kavala and over 40 (!) bands and ensembles on three stages from 6pm until 3am.
