Gosh, just a couple more weeks to go with the current schedule. If you applied for a slot on the next iteration, I hope you get one, Sheila.
  6:09am P-90:

Avatar 6:14am djsheilab:

@Ken from Hyde Park Definitely bracing myself for this fall switch-over. I'd be totally happy with this slot again. As long as I'm on the radio!

Oh man, no one plays enough Siouxsie. Love this song and that whole album.
  6:42am P-90:

@ DJ Sheila B:
That was BIG time synchronicity that you just mentioned Bob Crewe. A few weeks ago you spoke about interviewing Leslie Gore for some liner notes(!) I think. I was literally just about to post about that right here when you said his name while announcing the last set; I remember you said there were other things you wanted to ask her about, but she wouldn't stop talking about Bob Crewe. You may have been frustrated, but I've been researching Mr. Crewe for over a year for a project, and I was wondering if there's a transcript of what Leslie had to say? I would love to read her comments, just for insight-- I'm not looking for anything to quote or reproduce in any form...
Avatar 6:43am Todd-o-phonic:

You love Alan Parsons, I love Supertramp. We will all be forgiven. I can't wait to see the new FMU schedule because two of my favorite ever shows are new ones in this 6-9 slot (SBB and Crazy Man Micah on Fridays....)
  6:52am Will UK:

Thats two separate wills btw
Avatar 6:55am Todd-o-phonic:

The Aubry Twins..what an amazing track! You are always helping me discover records in my collection! It's like getting new 45's without having to actually buy them....
Avatar 6:55am djsheilab:

Will UK + Will. Got it!
Avatar 6:59am djsheilab:

Perfect for your New Orleans set @TOPT.
Avatar 7:00am Todd-o-phonic:

  7:09am ajay:

  7:09am Davey Croquet:

Ooh, Miss Kittin. If we're heading that way, how about some Broadcast or Ladytron on another show sometime? :-)
Avatar 7:12am Todd-o-phonic:

  7:15am Cooh John:

How many dj's @ WFMU speak Japanese?
  7:19am P-90:

I was a kid when Alan Parsons' "(The System of) Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether" from their first album hit the radio as a single. I remember it caused a minor sensation at the time, we all loved it, wanted to check out the Poe-themed LP it was on.
  7:21am Morningwood:

Last night at our house: "Tomorrow's only Tuesday- but wait, that means Sheila B.!" We'll catch your 2nd half after work ce soir, so keep killin' it!
Avatar 7:26am Berg:

@CoohJohn Mayuko's Japanese is pretty good if you ask me
Avatar 7:30am djsheilab:

@Davey Croquet I played Broadcast a few weeks back. You'll def hear Ladytron in the future.
  7:31am Davey Croquet:

Thanks Sheila!
  7:32am Cooh John:

Avatar 7:32am djsheilab:

Avatar S.B. Boomer: Marathon 2022 Swag For Life Member 7:34am Ken From Hyde Park:

  7:37am P-90:

  8:26am P-90:

Mary Weiss's spoken word bits are the ultimate --for me, anyway
  8:26am The Contessa:

Sheila, you might like this http://bit.ly/HelenClare. She's 98 now. Can't sing now but sounds great! Petula Clark's first broadcast was live was on her show.
Avatar 8:28am Marcel M:

  8:48am Van Jealous:

That's MAY-ME not MAM-EE :-)
  8:48am Van Jealous:

  8:58am P-90:

  8:59am Van Jealous:

BTW, I've really enjoyed your show since 6:30 this morning. Have you every done a 3-hour "Ye Ye" girls show?
