A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Avatar 10:08am Van in DC:

Hi there Trouble. Wow, just missed some steinski by a bit
  10:10am P-90:

Is this the version used in the Brian DePalma/ Robert De Niro movie?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am Ken From Hyde Park:

Grady Tate sounds like the singer of "I'm Just a Bill."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am Ken From Hyde Park:

My research shows Jack Sheldon sung that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am Adrian in London:

Someone here was asking about Green from Scritti Politti the other week: I saw him do a song with Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip at the Meltdown Festival in London last week. Green was wearing shorts and an anorak, dressed like he'd just come in from spending the day working on an allotment. But a great voice still. Alexis was supporting Lonnie Holley, incidentally.
Avatar 10:32am Trouble:

that sounds like an amazing musical moment adrian!
Avatar 10:32am Van in DC:

If the artwork WERE a KaTe album cover, you would probably find my avatar hidden in it somewhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...what a remarkable set : not just strong w/ the Messages, but rich - & yet diverse - w/ the performances & productions. Bravo I says.
Avatar 10:35am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Happy late morning to all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am Parq:

Peggy's "Woman"! My fave version, except for the one that Raquel Welch did with Miss Piggy on "The Muppets".
Avatar 10:38am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

I can't help but associate "I'm A Woman" with that corny Enjoli commercial.

  10:50am r i s k y:

@trouble thanks much!
  10:53am Mark R:

That thing-twang guitar or whatever is one of the most wack-a-doo sounds I've heard in quite some time. In fact, this whole Bombay Disco thing is really quite tremendous. Makes me want to open a Bombay Disco. Wonder how long that would last?
Avatar 11:00am Trouble:

Good morning trouble and everyone!
Trouble, I'm just getting to the show and excited to listen to the archive for the first half.
Thanks so much for coming by Interference, Jen said you were he favorite visitors ever!
  11:15am Mark R:

There are a lot of states that allow open carry of guns now. But it would be interesting to see what would happen if black people actually exercised that right.
  11:16am Kevlicki:

No problem! Taking it easy
  11:17am Kevlicki:

On the Black Panther Party, coming up at the Maysles Institute in Harlem is the annual Black Panther Film Festival, sometime this September
  11:19am Mark R:

Seriously, that fly was in the studio Saturday night/Friday morning, too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am efd:

Is the fly huge? I've seen some big flies in the studio recently. I hope you can stay out of its way!
Avatar 11:20am βrian:

"In a closed mouth no flies enter." Not the most practical advice for a DJ, though.
Avatar 11:21am Trouble:

no worries fmu family: fly is not huge; I WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!!
  11:21am Mark R:

It IS huge. And he would wait till I was talking on air so I couldn't get all involved swatting him. Clever fellow. We should get a posse together.
Avatar 11:21am Trouble:

good to know kevlicki; will look for that!
  11:26am The Lion:

Hey Trouble! Wondered if you have the Burmese 1970's psychedelia compilation. Here is a sample: https://youtu.be/iOuJ-hL8HpQ
Avatar 11:32am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Trouble, I saw a Paul Weller clone last Saturday at Le Poisson Rouge whilst attending the Morrissey dj tribute night "Oscillate Wildly". Only thing was he was pretty short, like barely 5 feet tall, but otherwise spot on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am SeanG:

sweet sweet jazz
Avatar 11:41am Trouble:

hey jenn: old PW or contempo? contempo pw is pretttty grey but still handsome as heck
Avatar 11:45am ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Old PW, dark and lovely. I agree that contempo PW is aging well.
  11:48am joe!:

fly-slaying tips: attack from behind, strike when it's moving, not still--happy hunting.
Avatar 11:48am Trouble:

the lion: i have seen that comp, will look it up, sounds cool!
Avatar 11:49am Trouble:

still no dead fly, now there are two. b/cuz of garbage can in studio i imagine
Avatar 11:54am V Priceless:

thanks for the Kevin Ayers, Trouble - fun show - cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Ken From Hyde Park:

I rid my house of fruit flies recently by using my vacuum cleaner. If you can hook up the narrow nozzle for getting into corners, that might be an option.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Webhamster Henry:

Avatar 11:58am Trouble:
