Ahhh, we have liftoff then...
  6:03am Sweet Essence of Giraffe:

Every time I see Ratty in that pose, in my head I hear "You talking to me? You talking to me?"
Good morning.
Avatar 6:06am Bill Mac:

Hey SEG.... He looks like one of those rats giant blow up rats you see at labor strikes... How things?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06am pacific standard simon:

Ah, hello, Bill Mac; so good to find you on the netwaves again!
Avatar 6:10am Bill Mac:

Good to be here Simon... Managed to elude the big fire on the turnpike to get here. Man studio B is a hot one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10am pacific standard simon:

  6:13am Sweet Essence of Giraffe:

All good here, Bill. Diggin' this opening set: doubleplus good.
Avatar 6:14am Bill Mac:

Hubboy.... requires further examination
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19am pacific standard simon:

My very life is a graphic illustration of the old saw, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." I have remained in the kitchen, despite the heat, for these past three decades..
Avatar 6:23am Bill Mac:

That's good.... the food's in there.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27am pacific standard simon:

Surely Ratty would agree. And I'll never go hungry, despite the low rate of pay.
Avatar 6:32am Bill Mac:

There's always other peoples food
  7:02am will:

Mmmmmorning hour with Bill Mac and it feels so good!
Avatar 7:02am Bill Mac:

Helloooo Willl!
  7:05am ratbone:

  7:05am will:

Hot as a docker's armpit! We heart Budgie in Pawtucket!
Avatar 7:07am Bill Mac:

Hey RB, yeah White Hassle includes Marce Hall and Dave Varenka form the Jerk.....
Rattys the show mascot, has been around the world according to reliable sources
Avatar 7:09am Bill Mac:

@Will I was on my way home from here on Sunday and damn if Therese didn't spin In for the Kill.

My fave 70s metal band hands down!
Avatar 7:21am HarktheUmpire:

Eh... what was that song you played just now after The Momes and before Janko Milovic?
Avatar 7:24am Bill Mac:

The Momes song went on for five minutes, segued into the Janko.
Avatar 7:27am HarktheUmpire:

aah.. my bad. I was only aware of a 2-minute version of that Momes song.
Avatar 7:28am Bill Mac:

The first few songs on the jammie ran 4-5 minutes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hullo BillMac! What a pleasant surprise to wake up to - what a fun show...
Avatar 7:36am Bill Mac:

@RR1163 - All of a sudden it seems I'm always here
Avatar 7:40am Chris from DC:

Whoa, haven't heard Clones in years. Nice.
Avatar 7:41am Bill Mac:

I think this was the last I heard of AC... Going the Gary Numan route.... Great tune...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42am Stanley:

Wey hey Bill, everyone.
I'm having a sneaky lunch hour listen
Avatar 7:44am Bill Mac:

Wow lunch there already... this is the noisy section of the show.
Good to hear from you Stanner
Avatar 7:45am Polyus:

Hey, it's the one song Tom Petersson gets to sing every night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46am Stanley:

Cheap Trick! Bill, you slay me.
Avatar 7:46am Bill Mac:

BEST.... Cheap Trick = underrated...
Avatar 7:48am Polyus:

Holy Crap! Never thought I would hear Skoal on the Fun 91.
Avatar 7:49am Bill Mac:

Wow this is already 3 years old! One of 2011s best
Avatar 7:50am Polyus:

Amazing live band, their shows were big sweaty, smelly messes of dancing people, usually as many onstage with the band as could fit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am Stanley:

Previous singer sounded like he was drowning
Avatar 7:51am Bill Mac:

Doesn't Skoal have members of Heroine Shieks among other in it? do they still exist?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52am Stanley:

Bowie sounding like some folk-blues growler. Nice.
Avatar 7:53am Polyus:

Freddie Votel from Cows was the drummer. Sadly defunct, though the vocal/electronics guy Marcus is still pretty active.
Avatar 7:54am Bill Mac:

@Stan Wasn't sure if that was Bowie. For a second I thought it was Roger Chapman from family
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55am Stanley:

Exactly. Good see the BBC coughing up its archives, though.
Avatar 7:56am Bill Mac:

Ah hah! He only sang one verse!
Avatar 7:58am Bill Mac:

@Polyus - I had them on my radar when that record came out, and overplayed Teapot when I had a regular program
  8:00am Sweet Essence of Giraffe:

Lovin' the flips and twists in this set. Now, that's entertainment!
Avatar 8:01am Bill Mac:

It's gettin' wiggy in here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am Stanley:

I think we have John Peel to thank for that Bowie session.
Avatar 8:13am Bill Mac:

Absolutely he did the intro honors on it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am Stanley:

That Burnside was great. Loved his style.
Avatar 8:16am Bill Mac:

Saw him once.... a small club atop of a roast beef restaurant
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21am Stanley:

Bill - for me you could do a whole show of grungy raw blues. You know, Burnside, Howlin Wolf, Elmore James, the sort I like.
Avatar 8:23am Bill Mac:

I'd be happy to indulge you @ some point
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25am Stanley:

Thanks Bill.
Sorry to sign off but I'm getting stares from my colleague.
Look forward to the next time.
Avatar 8:27am Bill Mac:

Thanks Stanley.... I'll be back!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

They point to some of that Drum & Fife stuff in the Southern Hills as being real direct retentions of original African influences - just as white Hillbilly Folk roots retained real old British Isles influences ('Wildwood Flower' & the like)...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...being isolated in the Hills & all...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42am mauri:

Heya Bbill and everyone. being back in school activated the habit of doodling. the first one was a stove with human legs and arms.
  8:43am Sweet Essence of Giraffe:

Oh, man. Been more than a few exciting moments since I heard this last. Thanks, Bill and catch you next time!
Avatar 8:45am Bill Mac:

I've only heard Turners Band but I imagine there are still folks reviving this type of music
Avatar 8:45am Bill Mac:

Hiya Mauri! Doodling? Now?
  8:46am M:

check email after show
Avatar 8:46am Bill Mac:

@SEG Thanks for the visit. Keep that pear vintage coming. See you soon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am mauri:

earlier the day.
Avatar 8:56am Bill Mac:

OK Folks, it's been grand! See you sometime in the future. Take care be safe!
Avatar 8:58am Polyus:

Good stuff, Bill.
  8:58am P-90:

Thanks, Bill M!
Avatar 8:15am Brian in UK:

Trying my darndest to keep up. Now in Czech Republic and no more fill-ins for the foreseeable. Still 37C. Music looks good. Writing this in my underpants. Yes, I know there is an answer to that one!!!
