Are we having technical difficulties again? Just my computer?
Avatar 12:04pm βrian:

Lemons are sublime.
  12:04pm MONEYBAG$:

Was this Micky's stoner rock phase?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Amanda:

Everybody hearin' me?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Jeff Golick:

I'm gonna have to leave when I come on, I can't listen to myself...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Amanda:

Iain's triumphant exit coming up at the bottom of the hour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Amanda:

MB$, to answer your question -- it's kind of amazing how many genres Micky could straddle in the 70s!
Avatar 12:15pm Iain:

Ha! If anyone wants to buy the Dolenz LP, the best place stateside is Ernie B's www.ebreggae.com...
Avatar 12:18pm βrian:

"Diamond in the back." I've seen Amish buggies like that.
Avatar 12:25pm Dominick:

Hiya kids! Hiya, hiya, hiya!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm Amanda:

Hiya Dominick!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Amanda:

I won't make any pretenses that I'm doing this interview live -- it's taped and I was so nervous! Never done an interview before. Thanks a million to Iain for being such a warm, funny subject.
Avatar 12:40pm Iain:

I am not this posh in real life. I am doing my Hugh Grant impression.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Amanda:

Nah, not enough stammering for Hugh.
Avatar 12:41pm Iain:

Ha!
  12:41pm MONEYBAG$:

I appreciate the correct pronunciation of Moog
Avatar 12:41pm northguineahills:

I thought thatthe Day Break track sounded like a soulful Van Dyke Parks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Amanda:

@ngh, yes, it's a little similar to the VDP steel-drum bag. Written by Nilsson, who recorded better-known version, super Nilsson-y in the lyrics/melody.
Avatar 12:43pm Iain:

I feel really uncomfortable saying it MoneyBag$...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Amanda:

Henry Diltz also a big Lovin' Spoonful crony, shot the Hums album cover, played clarinet on Hums, in the Modern Folk Quartet, etc.
Avatar 12:45pm ndbob:

afternoon Amanda and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Amanda:

Everyone remembers where they were and who humiliated them when they found out they were pronouncing Moog wrong...

Heigh-ho ndbob! And heigh-ho to Uncle Michael, doctorjazz, Brian, Stevel, Jeff G, everyone everyone!!!
  12:48pm MONEYBAG$:

I don't think the members of Stereolab ever said it correctly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Amanda:

To be fair, I do have A television. And I get "over the air" channels. So I'm actually full of it.
  12:52pm Chuck:

Great interview! Really enjoying your chat with Iain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Amanda:

Welcome Chuck! Ta very much! :-)
Avatar 12:56pm Iain:

dO YOU OR DO YOU NOT HAVE A TV, YOUR INTEGRITY IS AT STAKE!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Amanda:

Yes, but it's not plugged in
Avatar 12:58pm Iain:

Ok, that's alright
Avatar 1:01pm northguineahills:

I have a huge cube TV, that gets no stations, but I use it to stream movies, but it looks funny watching HD movies on an analogue TV.
  1:02pm MONEYBAG$:

I actually investigated the price of Mike's autograph after it came up on Bill Kelly's show, it seems to be based on anger towards autograph resellers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Amanda:

Love that he says "hyp-mo-tized"!
Avatar 1:04pm Iain:

HA! That is my absolute favorite bit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm doctorjazz:

What a fun version, just heard Jim Kweskin and the Jug Band play this Monday night! (John Sebastion was playing with them...)
  1:07pm Sherri:

Only caught the tail end... Is there a way to hear the entire segment?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Amanda:

Hey Sherri! Yes, the show is being recorded and the archive will be up by the end of the day, my time.
Avatar 1:11pm Iain:

Hi Sherri...
  1:11pm Sherri:

Awesome! Thanks so much! :)
Avatar 1:14pm Iain:

I have to go to bed...Oh, Amanda, I had a couple of VERY shitty emails from Carol Kaye tomorrow. I was heartbroken...
Avatar 1:15pm Iain:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Amanda:

Hey doctorjazz, that rules! Jealous!!! I am going to see John play in Boston next month I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Amanda:

Avatar 1:17pm Iain:

  1:35pm Skurky:

If you play Simpsons Tapped Out the Lawyer is just called "Blue-Haired Lawer"
  1:36pm MONEYBAG$:

That "we need another Vietnam..." line popped into my head the other day
Avatar 1:36pm northguineahills:

That was so much fun!
  1:40pm Nate K:

I remember this song!
  1:41pm Skurky:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Amanda:

That's so cool SeanG! (Sry, catching up on comments after my supertalky talkiness.) I think I'd have been too scared to talk to him too. And Iain, no nobody would find you dull!
Avatar 1:44pm northguineahills:

This Soup Dragons sounds like a cross b/tn Curve & later Stone Rose.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm steve:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm Amanda:

Yay thanks steve! Bon appetit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm Amanda:

@Nate, I am trying to awaken 1990s memories right now...
  1:47pm Nate K:

I spent a lot of time in the '90s. A solid 10 years at least.
