Favoriting Seven Second Delay with Andy and Ken: Playlist from February 11, 2015 Favoriting

The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

Listener comments!

  6:01pm
Phillip in Brooklyn:

What gives? Why a repeat
  6:02pm
Robert:

Oh, good: There's enough hiss to tell whether the stream has stopped during the original dead air.
  6:03pm
Phillip in Brooklyn:

Ken wasn't in for his show today and now a repeat of seven second delay?
  6:04pm
Caryn:

Interestingly, Ken sounds exactly the same, but Andy sounds way younger.
  6:05pm
Robert:

Feel like mongering some rumor, Phillip?
Avatar 6:05pm
Nick the Bard:

There's that screening of Sex and Broadcasting out in San Francisco this weekend, and there's a listener meet up out there, so I'm guessing that's where Ken is. Andy also said he was going to be at Toy Fair this weekend too, so that's probably playing into it.
  6:06pm
Robert:

Aw, Nick, Phillip could've worked up some great rumors if it hadn't been for your factuality.
  6:08pm
Phillip in Brooklyn:

You think they could have said something first. I was listening last week I didn't hear they weren't going to be in this week
Avatar 6:08pm
Nick the Bard:

I talk to them after the show and I didn't know they weren't going to be around this week, so don't feel too bad :P

nick:
you downstairs on phones?
i'll give you a call...
Avatar 6:09pm
Carmichael:

1998? That's like 40 years ago.
  6:09pm
Robert:

Hey, moving multipath, probably from an airplane!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm
Greg from Bloomfield:

Did they even HAVE radio in 1998?
Avatar 6:10pm
Nick the Bard:

yeh, i'm down here (at least the studio lines anyway)
  6:12pm
Phillip in Brooklyn:

A bit surprised because you usually hear well in advance that ken or Andy isn't going to be there. Hey rumor has it that both ken and Andy were kidnapped by ISIS agents in America and swept away to the mountains of Afghanistan
Avatar 6:12pm
tonyb:

figured that
just wondered if you were driving the board
  6:17pm
Robert:

Hey, it's not multipath, it's CCI. Let's figure out what station.
  6:19pm
Brooklip in Philly:

This is not what I tune in for
  6:19pm
Robert:

Dec. 9 could've been winter sporadic E skip season, so the field for CCI ID is wide open.

Marcel M:

Oh my god... someones radio feeding back? haha
  6:21pm
Phillip in Brooklyn:

With the way Andy is wheezing? I'm surprised the man doesn't need to carry around an oxygen tank to breath
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21pm
Marcel M:

I personally enjoy the re runs. This is great.
  6:22pm
Robert:

That was before his operation, Phillip.

We need pics of Andy at his booth

Phillip in Brooklyn:

In listening to this show from 1998? Nothing has really changed in over 17 years!

coelacanth:

oh my god- a rerun!?! i cant believe it! this is highly unprofessional. what the hell am i gonna do now? i cant listen to a goddamn rerun! oh my god, these people suck; this radio station sucks; my life sucks!
...maybe i'll just bitch on the comment board for an hour.
  6:27pm
Rai:

Is this Hunter?
  6:27pm
Tony:

Hunter!
  6:27pm
Caryn:

@Nick the Bard: loving how Andy's name is misspelled.
  6:28pm
Robert:

So, Phillip & coelacanth, you're doing META dead air chicken, or dead comment line chicken, baiting them to respond?
  6:30pm
Caryn:

@Robert: maybe they were baiting you to respond?
  6:30pm
Robert:

Or you believe this is one of their sophisticated jokes, that they're really live and that Ken added effects to make it sound like an old off-air tape?
  6:32pm
zoran:

ricky shapiro!!!!!!!!
Avatar 6:32pm
Nick the Bard:

Wow, cassette side change chunking
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm
Greg from Bloomfield:

1998 was a different time.
Avatar 6:37pm
Carmichael:

Whatever you may think of their motives, The word "sophisticated" probably doesn't apply.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm
coelacanth:

i wasn't expecting a response. i thought my sarcasm/mockery was more than a little obvious.
  6:43pm
Robert:

I'm trying to figure out the provenance of this clip. Did it go out on Ken's show and someone happen to record it off air? Did Ken surreptitiously record it & pass it to someone who then phoned in with it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm
Greg from Bloomfield:

Kinda reminds me of that slot machine song that everybody has been playing lately...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
Greg from Bloomfield:

Avatar 6:53pm
Nick the Bard:

BRAK! NOW IT'S GOOD AGAIN
  6:53pm
Robert:

I love it! At that time I'd've just gotten off work at Bronx-Lebanon Hosp. and would've been sitting in my car listening to it after getting home, but I don't remember this one.
Avatar 6:53pm
Nick the Bard:

I don't, I send in my soft earned dollars to upport the station
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm

But I missed a lot of shows for the NY-NJ Mol. Bio. Club which was on Weds. at 6:15.

-max-:

Brilliant! Loved how some of the callers created an almost 'Kenny G.-like' show. So great that a listener cared enough to record it, treasure it for all these years, and then share it back with all of us. Well done, all around!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
coelacanth:

this was a funny one. i'm thankful for the re-runs.
Thanks Ken & Andy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
Marcel M:

@MAX: I thought of Kenny G as well. Great episode! Classic. Byeeee.
  6:58pm
Robert:

Nick, I have a C-60 cassette full of samplings I made from a 24-hr. period or so of WFMU ca. 1980. Are those things of interest to people there?
Avatar 7:06pm
Nick the Bard:

@Robert
I'd say e-mail Ken about it and see where things go
