Among many varied world music-oriented cd projects, Dan has specifically explored the black music of the Americas in compilations and individual artist cds produced for Network and Detour records and the Rough Guides series (in addition to writing for the Rough Guides world music volumes, He has produced related radio programs for Afropop Worldwide. For several years he also produced his own radio program Cafe International at WCBN at the University of Michigan.
