@ Risky: Jinx! We both thought of the "helm" metaphor at the same time.
AND: Thanks, Tech-Wizard Kenzo! You are truly Jimmy Doohan to Ken's Bill Shatner. (heehee)

A RACCOON! “A raccoon caused an outage Friday evening that cut power to more than 10,000 customers…” newyork.cbslocal.com...
  11:23pm
JakeGould:

I love you Raccoon! Just trying to find some warmth in the cold yet brought a minor U.S. city to a screeching halt.

Unforeseeable Raccoon Fracas
  11:29pm
P-90:

The furry trickster "made contact with switching equipment" in a substation and instantly cut power to over 12,000 customers, knocked The Fun 91 off the air, AND shut down "much of" the PATH train system. With indigenous wildlife like this, who needs Al Quaida?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30pm

@P-90 HELM YEAH!

I hear the CIA is ready to torture raccoons and large ground squirrels immediately.

Now Huffington Post is reporting that the agency that represents Mutual of Omaha’s Jim Fowler has already “made contact with” US State Department officials about supplying his expertise as a contractor to provide “psychological oversight in the potential interrogation of procyonids (raccoons) and other small carnivora, which may become necessary to obtain intelligence vital to the prevention of large-scale disruptions of the North American infrastructure.” Fowler’s press rep says he was originally contacted several years ago, in response to a White House initiative. “President Bush had asked for Marlon Perkins [Fowler’s mentor], apparently unaware that Dr. Perkins had passed away some years prior.”

Wow, you mean the Port Authority has a valid excuse for a major PATH train fuck-up this time?! And the excuse is a RACCOON? Wowsers.

This Greg Davis sounds like academic electro-acoustic pieces, and I man that in a good way.

Holy cow, Jake, that D.S. playlist has some hilarious comments.
  12:17am

Ike, the funniest thing to me is how I tried to talk about what we had for dinner, but nobody was biting. I mean I downloaded “Shut Up Weirdo” from the app and listened to that. Made due.

Wow, I missed out on that one entirely. An appropriately classy flashlight, with the classy CBC logo classily silk-screened, makes for one classy premium. That Terre T, what a class act all the way, I tell you...

And Anton Vill, this dude is hot shit! I like how he mixes a 19th century illustration feel with more modern psychedelia. And his technique is impeccable. Thanks, @Rich, takes me right back to Friday nights of yore, when I was introduced to many a worthy artist whose work I hadn't seen before, courtesy of the Carcass.
