People talk about the German language, but I feel English really has a word for everything. And it's worse because the words are smaller, you can't just guess seeing what a part of it means

Avatar 9:16am Joe McG:

@doca: English has a lot of words for a lot of things, but there are still many things you can say in other languages much more easily.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am TR In MI:

Dreamy vibes coming from these... dreamy vibes. Nice way to start the day.
Avatar 9:17am doca:

@Joe: that's true.

By the way, this is one of my favorite songs ever. It always makes me feel cozy.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:17am Guido from Cologne:

German is notorious for lengthy composites and complex grammar, isn't it?
Avatar 9:19am doca:

@Guido: yeah, but the words are like hieroglyphs, you can just decompose them and get the meaning
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20am DCE:

@ngh, sorry, that doesn't sound appealing right now!
Avatar 9:23am dc pat:

23 minutes late!!
Avatar 9:24am fred von helsing:

@doca finnish assembles compound words the same way as german and it does wonders for general scientific literacy. it's not a "globe" it's an "earthball".

There's nothing obscure about the fact that your show used to feature 78 rpm records.
Avatar 9:38am Alessia:

Joe they don't mention this on the doc about Death, do they?
Avatar 9:42am Joe McG:

@Alessia: I don't remember them mentioning it, actually. Anybody know for sure?
Avatar 9:42am Joe McG:

MICHELE! @12539: I guess not, but I'm never sure who remembers that!

Avatar 10:19am Cheri Pi:

LOL- I was worried that you were in rhubarb-hab. glad your back and made it through hell week!
Avatar 10:19am Cecile:

i haven't seen the box, but I have M&M's CD.
It doesn't get much press, but there is a really thriving artistic African-American community here. I used to work at the bus agency, and we'd do Black History Month events and people who were like file clerks and bus drivers would perform -great singers, tight jazz funk bands.

Both tequila and sake don't affect me the way other liquors do. I get a buzz, but it takes a long time to take hold.

Avatar 10:47am dc pat:

I wonder if there's any science behind that tequila claim. Personally I'll stick with the bourbon and Irish whiskey...although I have been known to drink half a bottle of Jagermeister while driving around all night in Deleware looking for a hotel that was not fully booked....
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:47am Guido from Cologne:

There are much better herbal liqueurs than Jägermeister.
Avatar 10:48am βrian:

But mochi kills far more people, I hear. Usually around the New Year. Choking hazard, don't you know.

I had a caprinha once and it tasted like lime and a live electric wire.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:48am Brian in UK:

Mezcal for me, luckily it is too far away to get regularly. It has recently become popular in London with those trendy folks.

@βrian so many things are early this year. Blossoms especially.

But the cold sake is the primo stuff. Sake gets heated to hide the taste of lesser sake.
