HiYas Martha , Hi Kiddles,, this perfect just looking out the window now with snow and the breeze finally dying down--a bit-- but still blowing a little in the ,,, Happy New Year !!
  12:13am Martha:

Oh yes - Haven't been on the air in 2014 yet - so Happy New Year to all -
  12:23am JakeGould:

Happy New Year to U2… And Martha! Hah! I am a dink.
  1:08am ice in bklyn:

Hi Martha. Luv yer show.
Ice Age is a good track! I'm pleased Oh was so well represented on KTH comp, but what if I said Erectospective..
  1:23am Martha:

I'd say - good name for a band! Thanks for the kind words and I absolutely adore the Bizarros. If I remember correctly they were from Akron - though I wasn't sure enough about that to say it on the air. They deserve a good retrospective - if they haven't had one already. All I own from them is that split LP w/ the Rubber City Rebels.
  1:58am JakeGould:

“Punk 45: Kill The Hippies!” is really, really great.
  2:08am Martha:

It really is - good selection, no uber-obscure yet so-so filler -
  2:47am ice in bklyn:

Kill The Hippies is also a band from Kent, Ohio with a double cd comp of all (44?) of their 45s, called Erectospective
Bizarros have a comp out on Windian.
Akron is correct!

Can anyone remember where the phrase 'kill th hippies' comes from? A lyric, I think?
  2:49am Martha:

I agree, a lyric - but I can't remember from what - though there may be multiple sources (it isn't an uncommon sentiment. I believe) - and I'll have to check out that Windian comp - I am sure we have it around here - thanks for the info - I'll also look for KTH the band -
  2:49am ice in bklyn:

Somebody (martha) should check out that KTH, th (band!) comp..
  2:50am ice in bklyn:

And th bizarros. I like it.
