Hello Nick Name. My wifi will hold the playlist but not the live stream :{
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am

Where is "East Braodawy"?
Avatar 12:19am

Howdy Irwin. I kinda suspected this music would be your Bat-Signal...
Avatar 12:22am

Whooda, try lighting a candle to Saint Isidore of Seville.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am

@Irwin - follow the staggering man to your goal.

Hi deaf White cat,all good this end i just checked - sorry to hear that
Nick Name:

@Irwin: good job Luis was in charge of the sleeve notes and not me!
Nick Name:

Hi Droll - good to see ya again -

Wait, what? There's a good show following The Spazz nowadays? Curse me for a fool, not double-checking the new schedule!
Avatar 12:43am

I just come for the free food. pss said he was going to make a 'za.
Avatar 12:44am

@fleep: I hope the Saint is comfortable with "sailor language"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am

No piz' for you, Droll!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46am
pacific standard simon:

Hey, I boated inta Seattle today for the first time since July (aside from a airport trip in October).
Avatar 12:48am

Avast! No free food booty tonight? Aye mates, I sat through that jazz thing! And those modified piano songs! And the math rock!
Pass the grog, landlubber!

Pour anuvver beer in me ear, arrr!

It was the annual Christmas dinner at McCormick & Schmick's -- tight shoes, no pussy, and a cold place to sleep at the bottom of Davy Jones' locker. Aaahrrrrrr.
Avatar 1:01am

pss, You boated over just to eat at McCormick & Schmick's?! Is it that good? What an odd dress code: ill-fitting shoes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am
pacific standard simon:

How can I answer? I'm being amazed by awesome radio.

It's a holiday tradition. Shopping and a meal at someplace with wooden booths and upscale entrees.
Avatar 1:06am

PSS you know better than to eat anything from the Pacific now going forward. Those days are over. Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger and not prone to alarmism. China has already banned importing the big oysters from Washington for radioactive related arsenic.
Avatar 1:08am
Kurt Gottschalk:

sorry i missed the lizzy but i've kinda been obsessing on this bowie song lately. glad yr on the reg sched nick!
Avatar 1:08am

I shouldn't talk -- I'd come that way to go to Sawatdy at Miller and New Brooklyn Rd. No booths, park in a gravel lot.

what you just played was David Bowie?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09am
pacific standard simon:

I know, I know -- had the parmesan crusted sole, but I'll die happy.
Avatar 1:10am

It will be easy to spot you in the dark. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12am

Bowie was such a card after he ditched Lou Reed and started hanging out with Iggy and a bunch of proggers.
Avatar 1:12am

really enjoying the show, nick
Avatar 1:14am

Can't eat the seafood because it's radioactive. Can't eat the landfood because it's genetically engineered. That's why I love beer: neither animal nor vegetable. Always safe and healthier than the alternatives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16am
pacific standard simon:

I'm advocating the moonshine diet -- nothing but pure, un-aged corn distillery.
Avatar 1:16am

@droll I heard you share your weakness for those dark hops and barely malt earlier today...won't be long till Monsanto has that market under their thumb as well. Drink now while the drinking is good :)

This Williams Fairey Brass Band sounds like Moondog.

@PSS North Carolina is still a viable source for the mason jar set of mash perveyors. I live in upstate NY (lived in NC six years) and ran across a guy in Albany that brings back a case of mason jars full every trip back to NC to visit his wife. He's working construction up here for the job. It's good stuff.
Avatar 1:22am

Whooda, AMEN! I tried the beer made with synthetic water from ADM and it tasted like chicken.
Avatar 1:23am

Ha Ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am
pacific standard simon:

I'd do the same. A continent away. A shame.
Avatar 1:25am

I spent 15 lovely years in Sacramento. Lots of good Humbolt but no homegrown liquids.
Avatar 1:26am

Correction: lots of good craft brewers in Northern CA.
Avatar 1:29am

That was some uncharacteristically spiffy bass playing by Czukay!
Avatar 1:31am

Seattle is blessed with good local beer and there's a reason we're leading the way on legal weed. Funny how food and drugs are the last things to still be regional. It took months for the cronut to get here. It wasn't even worth the wait.
Avatar 1:34am

If Washington oysters were actually radioactive, I'd be Doctor Manhattan by now. It sounds like China trying to boost local product.
Avatar 1:37am

fleep, Wrong conspiracy, we're still on Attack of the 50 Foot Oyster.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39am
pacific standard simon:

When the foodie news stories about cronuts started appearing, I thought, "Oh dear, they've found a way to make Krispy Kremes seem even more trendy."
Avatar 1:39am

This particular oyster, I forgot the name, is sold from the bay area in Seattle mostly to China. They can weigh up to 10 pounds each and they live up to 100 years.
Avatar 1:41am

Here's another China/food related story on ABC news: abcnews.go.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43am
pacific standard simon:

Huh. Gonna be a lot more wildcat fireworks stands on the reservation next summer.
Avatar 1:44am

Fifty foot oyster would need a lot of bread crumbs. Truckload of spinach, bushel or two of garlic ...

@PSS I'll never forget my first Krispy Kreme. It was the Deleware State Fair in 2002. It was hot and fresh and freakin' melted in my mouth. The company is headquartered (or was) in Charlotte, NC. Down there they have a neon "hot" sign in the window to let the fans know it's 'Doughnut Time!'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51am
pacific standard simon:

I'm not a fan, myself. Grew up with crumby old "dunkers" -- a task which KKs are singularly unsuited for.
Avatar 1:52am

40 minutes!
Avatar 1:54am

...and the sweetest album cover: www.chicagoreader.com...
I think we have a winner.
Avatar 1:56am

Me and doughnuts go waaaay back. In a former lifetime I was a doughnut (baker?) in a little shop in my hometown.
Avatar 1:59am

Nice album cover. Looks a lot like felt markers, some of the best mentally ill artists work is done in felt tip, nothing even comes close to the honesty of that combination.

I like the idea of Santa's reindeer bringing books in their mouths...
