Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm listener james from westwood:

yep; apparently it's on lockdown.
  2:39pm Constance:

'Lockdown' is incompatible with 'freedom'. Barbaric.
Avatar 2:41pm Ted Barron:

So are gun nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:41pm listener james from westwood:

lockdown = sheltering in place in this context. good alternative to stopping a slug.
Avatar 2:42pm Wayne LaPieree:

Freedom hating commies, all of you.
  2:44pm Constance:

Guns are barbaric.
I think it's as simple as that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Lewis:

very cool set of a time and place... at least wrt mood (my music history is not that good)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm Doug Schulkind:

Ted, I believe the NRA sells a children's breakfast serial called Guns 'n' Nuts.
  2:47pm Martin:

I wish it was cold enough to wear a sweater today...
Avatar 2:49pm Ted Barron:

I think this is the week that the USA officially went off the rails.

  2:52pm Constance:

Maybe there should be more naked penises to see as there are women's breasts, Just maybe.
Avatar 2:53pm still b/p:

I like a bowl of Nice Clipsies or Glocky Charms.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm northguineahills:

AHhhhhhhhhhhh @My court case got dismissed!! Damn, thanks Ted, love the Coltrane, wish I was here for YLT.!
Avatar 2:56pm glenn:

breasts are beautiful. penises aren't. well, except for mine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Parq:

Constance, you think you are joking, but a seemingly nice young lady is sitting in the park across from my workplace, with some friends, quite topless, and she has been there for about an hour and a half. Perfectly legal in New York.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm northguineahills:

I can sleep again! Thanks friends!
Avatar 2:56pm duke:

US has been off the rails and its meds for some time now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Parq:

NGH, case against you, obviously. Watch out for an appeal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm Parq:

Ted, great sounds, I should hasten to add.

"If you wanna know if the world's a mess / It's in his kiss."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm northguineahills:

Thanks parq, Doug. I feel like I matter, as they held up a three departmental meetings until I got back from court. Of course, I had a veggie omelette w/ jalapenos, and a coffee (i never drink coffee), before I got back.
Avatar 3:25pm kat330:

Oooh-ooooh ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm northguineahills:

Kat, holland, Parq, glenn, Doug, SeanG. Souper howdies!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Parq:

Great old Elvis song, which the Bonzo Dog Band has utterly killed for me.
Avatar 3:26pm kat330:

Howdy-do back, NGH!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm holland oats:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm holland oats:

yo NGH
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Dominick:

You're spoiling me, Ted
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm Lewis:

Speaking of the Bonzos... I heard an obscure cut (Rawlinson End) last night which I am pretty sure influenced JKRowlings wrt screaming Mandrakes and Trelawwny , but I haven't gone back to confirm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm Doug Schulkind:

OK, gotta take the kiddo to the orthodontist. Ted, you are the orthostompiest.
Avatar 3:36pm kat330:

@Lewis: Is that a shark eating a slice of Velveeta -- or what's left of SpongeBob SquarePants?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Lewis:

That is detail from my daughter and her friend's extensive ninja's vs pirates mural from the downstairs bathroom at our old house. In this case it is a shark eating a pirate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Lewis:

Dr John just fired a Mos Alison network in my brain...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hello everyone..Been listening but to busy to comment (Shitdown n all!). Gotta say GREAT SHEW!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm northguineahills:

Ted, Gdam, Awesome sounds!
Avatar 3:42pm kat330:

@NGH: Thought you were adios? I'll say aloha just to cover all bases this time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Parq:

Ted, I think we all go through that with "Can't Get Used". The mind just goes "No-o-o-o-o, you can't *like* an Andy Williams record!" But you do, and that's that.
Avatar 3:44pm glenn:

awesome. rockin' some gordon lightfoot.
Avatar 3:45pm Erella:

Oh My! This is them singing a Gordon Lightfoot song!
Avatar 3:45pm kat330:

It's the arrangement that's genius. Most anyone singing it would have been just as great.
Avatar 3:46pm Erella:

Have you heard Nico's version of the same song? Hers is so earnest. Not as much as the original but also wonderful.
Avatar 3:47pm Erella:

I live in Toronto. The Replacements played a reunion gig here last month that was amazingly fresh and fantastic.
Avatar 3:47pm kat330:

@Erella: The Lightfoot or "Can't Get Used..."? Can't say I've heard either though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Parq:

Erella, did they actually finish their songs? If so, they've changed a lot since I saw them. (Although in fairness, I understand that they had "on" nights even in those days.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm holland oats:

westerberg threw in a reference to johnny thunders at the end there with "don't try"
Avatar 3:50pm Erella:

Here's Nico doing "I'm Not Saying. www.youtube.com...
Avatar 3:51pm glenn:

i have that nico single somewhere.
Avatar 3:52pm Erella:

They were in good spirits and seemed to be happy to be on the stage. Iggy Pop was on the same bill! Westerberg did forget the words a couple times but it was a fabulous Replacements show.
They said it was the first gig they did together in 17 yrs or something
Avatar 3:53pm kat330:

Lightfoot's currently on tour it seems, will even be in Indiana the end of the month.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Dominick:

Wow what a version!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Stanley:

Listening nice and quietly here and enjoying muchly.
Thankee Ted and hello and goodbye listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm Parq:
