Avatar 4:29pm Ted Barron:

Thanks, Rob.
  4:31pm SeanG:

just stick to beer Lou
  4:36pm P-90:

It's been years and years since I heard that Kennedy song, it feels like a perfect, Dylanesgue snapshot of that moment in time. @Lou: Bravo!
Also: although thoroughly steeped in Yes lore, I have never heard any details of how Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman wound up playing on Lou's first solo album.
It probably wasn't a favor for Ahmet Ertegun, RCA wasn't his label. Since they both were involved, Yes manager Brian Lane probably set it up. Anyone know any more? Just askin'...
Avatar 4:44pm Kurt Gottschalk:

the 50th anniversary of the jfk assassination is just around the corner - another excuse to play the song.
Avatar 4:45pm Kurt Gottschalk:

oh, and it's on the day i'm on the air no less! well i guess i'm talking to myself then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm Uncle Michael:

Yeah, I'm on that day too. Gotta plan accordingly...
Avatar 4:49pm kat330:

Thanks, Ted. "Ocean" in the early set and "Street Hassle" in this last -- Coplandesque! -- so outstanding. (I napped a lot during the 2nd set, but it was Lou lullabying me in the arms of Morpheus. :)
  4:52pm P-90:

@Kurt G.: Yeah, this was the perfect time to revisit that song, the media are abuzz about the 50th anniversary. Note to self: check out WFMU on the 22nd...
  4:54pm SeanG:

  4:55pm SeanG:

I'm turning this way UP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56pm Uncle Michael:

This GREAT tribute is a nice way to cap off Lou tributes. Thanks for today, Ted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm Parq:

Can I just poke my head in here and point out that the 50th Kennedy anniv is also opening day of the Record Fair?
  4:59pm P-90:

Yeah, Ted B., there have been some splendid LR tributes on WFMU this week, but yours has definitely topped them all. Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm listener james from westwood:
