Hey Folks, I spent a lot of time trying to track down 2 or 3 cuts this evening, so the other 37 or so songs..... I'm just winging it!!! How are you doing, breakfast notwithstanding?
Avatar 3:14am KP:

Good! i had two free espressos at the San Genarro Fest and have not slowed down since. Also had my picture taken w/ Bruno Sammartino.

Avatar 3:16am Bill Mac:

Hiya Stan! That's all the Italian I know.... @KP You've been rubbing elbows with the great and near lately
Avatar 3:17am Bill Mac:

@Hamburger - Salutations, dude! Interesting track of the day. If you know your XTC you'd realize all the lines were lifted from various XTC tunes. I thought it warranted a listen to by the panel...
Avatar 3:21am hamburger:

Thanks for the back ground info Mr Mac - Can't say I've taken time to listen to XTC - but will add to the list
  3:22am w41:

Hiya Bill Mac und listeners! Awesome start today!
Avatar 3:22am Bill Mac:

Avatar 3:34am Bill Mac:

Well, what can I say, make yourself comfortable and if the urge should come over you, make yourself a sandwich or something.
  3:36am w41:

Over that, I never resist a second! ;)
Avatar 3:39am KP:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51am mauri:

Avatar 3:51am Bill Mac:

@KP Chafed elbows? I thought i saw something about a character Downey did on SNL way back when he was part of one the forgettable casts - Suitcase Man?
Avatar 3:52am Jay/London:

@Bill yeah legs recovering from walking most of yesterday and phone covered in rice. It can only get better today
Avatar 3:54am KP:

Robert Downey Jr.'s father is awesome director who did Putney Swope and Greasers palace. his first was Chafed Elbows
Avatar 3:54am Bill Mac:

Phone in rice? Did you drop it in something wet?
Avatar 3:55am Bill Mac:

@KP I totally forgot that his Dad was a director.
  3:56am andy in berlin:

or maybe he was at a wedding?
Avatar 3:56am KP:

Im expecting pro shot pix of Sammartino encounter tomorrow as email. This was totally random. Stumbled upon the festival. Guess what Jersey City radio station T-shirt im wearing.
Avatar 3:57am Jay/London:

@Bill yeah fell in the loo at work, am using a old spare
Avatar 3:58am KP:

i saw him do a presentation of one of his films and asked him a couple of questions. Worship him despite his offspring.
Avatar 3:58am Bill Mac:

Aargh Jay, that's too bad!
Avatar 3:59am Bill Mac:

His offspring is getting paid for sure...
Avatar 4:01am KP:

He's talented but i cant remember one thing - one - in which he was trying to do something good/real/important.
Avatar 4:02am Jay/London:

@Bill glad Friday the 13th is over next one is in December !!
  4:07am Stanley:

Could listen to this laid back stuff all morning. Just one of those days I can't be bothered to get up.
Avatar 4:08am Jay/London:

breakfast in Bed too Stanley ?
  4:11am Stanley:

Feared you would shift gear soon as I said that but no, we've still got an easy groove going. Nice.
Avatar 4:12am Bill Mac:

I think we still have some things to get through before we change....
Avatar 4:14am Jay/London:

songs in the key of death stared it !
  4:14am Stanley:

Breakfast dinner and tea! Digging this weird mix thing.
Avatar 4:14am KP:

This seems really familiar but not enough that i can really visualize/audioize it.
Avatar 4:16am Bill Mac:

Haven't found a track listing on it - Votels' stuff is usually layered with bits and pieces of stuff.
  4:22am Stanley:

Love that neat Jews harp playing.
  4:22am Fran:

Morning Bill
What a good show - any day starting with early Caetano Veloso works for me - have you heard his Transa record which has some great stuff too but is often overlooked? Saw Pere Ubu in Manchester a short while ago - great and supported by David Baker ex of Mercury Rev's Variety Lights who were great and have a good lp out. XTC - looking forward to the Nonsuch reissue - have you played any of Mr Partridge and Mr Blegvad's new duo gem Gonwards yet? Now to toast and tea......
Avatar 4:23am Jay/London:

Yes Stanley dancing around the kitchen now
Avatar 4:24am Bill Mac:

@Stanley - There was a time when it seemed like everyone was aware of a Violent Femmes tune. They were kind of a weird little combo.
Avatar 4:27am Jay/London:

love the name of this band :)
Avatar 4:29am Bill Mac:

Hi Fran, yeah seeing David is like reaquainting yourself with an uncle with a grumpy sense of humor. He was dancing in his chair the entire show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29am Stanley:

Not me, missed that one. Is the rest of their stuff as good?
Avatar 4:32am Bill Mac:

Tell you the truth I can't say. Blister in the Sun was pretty huge though.
Avatar 4:34am Jay/London:

but many bands covered it Bill
  4:36am Fran:

I seriously think David Thomas could do a good stand up comedy routine particularly if he went under his old Crocus Behemoth name!!! If memory serves at Manchester he was actually cracking jokes between songs in the stand up style and he had a frisky dance moment or two as well! Strange and wonderful...and Hi KP if you are still there?
Avatar 4:36am Jay/London:

and it was on the soundtrack of grosse point blank bill which helped it's sales
  4:39am Fran:

Pere Ubu - Apparently there are Musicians Union issues in the US with his band - he isn't happy!!
Avatar 4:45am Bill Mac:

He almost didn't come here this time around.
Avatar 5:16am Jelly Jim:

Hi Bill and everyone, I would like to stick around but I have to go and buy a vacum cleaner, THAT SUCKS !!
Avatar 5:18am Jay/London:

never give a sucker a even break JJ
Avatar 5:19am Bill Mac:

Badapuh! What up, JJ?! Buy something that sucks good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21am Stanley:

Hi Jelly. Bit of hiatus on the ol' board. Must be the music is grabbing our attention. Gotta say though I don't recognise any of these bands in the current set. And I like it even more for that!
Avatar 5:21am Jelly Jim:

lets hope the vacum salesman doesnt try to make a sucker out of me
Avatar 5:23am Bill Mac:

I was beginning to wonder if I chased everyone away.... cos that would suck... not to belabor the point.... is this thing on?
Avatar 5:25am Jelly Jim:

Hi Stan, yea me too, this one is strangley good as well,. Yes Bill its on and coming through the air loud and clear !
Avatar 5:26am Bill Mac:

Avatar 5:26am Jelly Jim:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40am Stanley:

A knife, a fork, a bottle and a cork. Is that the way you spell New York?
Avatar 5:42am Bill Mac:

Avatar 5:44am Jay/London:
