Maybe WFMU can invent some kind of virtual performance venue to somehow replace what was Maxwell's. Virtual online internet stuff...that's the future!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Sympathy for the Record Industry has the best motto I've ever seen.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am tim from champaign:

Man, I was all pissy and grumpy and down in the dumps. Then I turn on WFMU and hear Todd-O-Phonic and it changed my mood right around. Thanks Todd-O-Phonic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am KevinfromBayRidge:

C'mon Todd, lets go for another 6 hour wonder. Don't let Joe in the studio. We'll play Block the Belock!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am Mike East:

way to go, CP! I rocked my messenger bag for the first time yesterday. my daughter claimed the stickers and night light
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am Brian in UK:

Toppermost of the Poppermost.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am tim from champaign:

Last Thursday I got my SWAG. I went to a show wearing my Gary Panter WFMU shirt, proud to show it off. Then on my bike ride home after the show, I got sideswiped by a car, which caused massive road burn when it hit the deck, fucked up another pair of pants and got a lot of blood all over my brand new WFMU t-shirt. I was so bummed about the shirt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Brian in UK:

@Tim did you killed the bastard? I know it means a lot of paperwork but heck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am tim from champaign:

Nope, the dummy driving the car didn't even see me. All I caught from the glimpse through the passenger window was that the driver was texting. I don't think the driver was aware that they knocked me over.
Avatar 10:49am Cheri Pi:

Oh no TfC!!! that's horrible. did you try soaking the shrit in cold water with borax?
Avatar 10:51am Cheri Pi:

I can't wait for the night light and the stickers and the bag!!! I'm so excited.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am tim from champaign:

I did the cold water, Cheri. I'll try borax tonight. Thanks for the tip!

Happy Birthday to GAYLORD!
  10:56am frenchee:

Tim from Champ, Borax is amazing for stain removal, Cheri Pi is right.
Avatar 10:58am Joe B:

Wyldlife opening for the Oblivians at the bell House a week from Friday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07am KevinfromBayRidge:

Tim, sorry about your travails. The thought of biking around Bklyn & Manhattan has always terrified me. Instead I chose to run. Even that has its vehicular risks in NYC ( ie: crossing Hamilton Ave or the Bklyn Bridge((pedestrian risk)). "Bout the shirt, at least you're still able to wear the shirt . Anything FMU will only be enhanced by a little blood stain or similar "schmutz"!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am efd:

This song rings a bell. :)
Avatar 11:14am Joe McG:

@tim: Hey, Tim, if you can't get the blood out, let me know. Maybe there's something I can do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14am tim from champaign:

That's true about the shirt, Kevin. A little (maybe a lot) of blood, sweat and beer on WFMU t-shirt is only appropriate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15am tim from champaign:

Thanks, Joe. I'll keep you posted.
Avatar 11:18am Windy City:

Man, what a way for a new shirt to go, hope you're ok. I've had really good luck with OxyClean, make a paste and let it sit for a while. Stuff gets just about anything organic out. How's the bike?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am northguineahills:

Schei├če, Tim. Glad you're ok. I've been lucky w/ the vehicular traffic so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am tim from champaign:

The bike is a-ok. The handlebar rotated in the crash so all I had to do was center the post. Thanks for your concerns WFMU friends. I'm wearing a helmet from now on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am tim from champaign:

My favorite Pretenders song! Those first 2 Pretenders albums are so underrated.
Swag For Life Member 11:29am Ralphine:

I think that Honeyman-Scott was underrated as a guitarist, too.
  11:30am Todd E:

Yup, that original Pretenders lineup was sharp. Saw them do some fantastic concerts...never as good once Honeyman-Scott was gone.
