  12:12pm Woo:

HNY all! It's gonna be good. Already my wife told me to go out and buy new music because she's sick of hearing the older stuff all the time. So I'm taking actual notes today. Fortunate to be in Chicagoland with lots of great record stores.
Avatar 12:13pm Joe B:

Hey Frank! Congrats again on your great news! thanks for checkin in!

  12:28pm Frank Above:

Thanks Joe! Glad to be able to tune in live for once!
  12:36pm Neil:

Happy New Year Joe. Definitely looking for a better 2013. And thanks for the Missing Monuments. That song has been much in my head lately, but I couldn't remember what it was.
Avatar 12:37pm Joe B:

Hi Cosmic! Hi Penelope, sorry i think I am the only one here and he is 2 floors up!

Hi Richard!
Avatar 12:37pm Joe B:

Miss V, cool! gotta be better than trekking over here!
Avatar 12:41pm Joe B:

hey Neil!
  12:43pm penelope:

thanks anyway Joe!
  12:44pm Woo:

I didn't get around to buying the dBs last year. That will be corrected soon. It was bad enough I didn't buy tickets in time to see them live at the Hideout in Chicago. Sold out fast.
  12:44pm Miss V:

JB back to NYC in FEB!
Avatar 12:44pm Joe B:

boooooooooooo!
  12:48pm Bad Ronald:

Happy New Year Joe and the TCM faithful! Two Questions: Did anyone catch Handsome Dick's NYE party? - Did Kelley Stoltz and or the Intelligence make the cut for today's TCM roster? - Thanks
Avatar 12:51pm Joe B:

BR! almost forgot about The Intelligence record! thanks! didnt hear the kelley stoltz
  12:53pm Bad Ronald:

He's got some stuff on SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/kelley-stoltz/
Most notably a nice cover of Bowie's "Bombers" and my favorite - "Your Bongos are Killing Me".
  12:59pm Parq:

Happy New Year to Joe and his faithful friends. Is Scharpling's Nude Beach video shot on a nude beach?
Avatar 1:01pm Joe B:

Hi parq! No, but if you like that band on facebook you get all kinds of unwanted suggested pages!
  1:06pm Rob & Katie:

Happy New Year Joe and everyone!
Avatar 1:17pm Joe B:

Hi Rob & Katie! great to see you last night!
  1:17pm John L.:

Your show is getting me through a painfully slow day at work.
Avatar 1:21pm Joe B:

thanks John, happy new year!
  1:21pm SteveL:

Joe B, on the dawn of a new year. Not bad!
  1:22pm Woo:

The Rolling Stones managed to record 2 songs in 2012. And release their 30th greatest hits album. Surely we are due for the 40th live album. They should get Mick Taylor back in the band for real. And make the bass player an official Rolling Stone. Or just put the whole damn thing to bed.
Avatar 1:23pm Joe B:

Hey SteveL!
  1:23pm Toddophonic:

Wasn't the Dragnet 2 EP set released in 2012?
Avatar 1:24pm Joe B:

Toddophonic you may be right!
  1:27pm Rob & Katie:

It was great to see you too Joe! Normally we are, like you, big boosters for live bands, but it was kinda nice that this year Maxwell's opened up for free for a DJ party with Todd-O-Phonic Todd & Mono-O-Phonic Matt spinning. Lots of fun and revelry but without the crush of a ticketed NYE band show.
  1:27pm Rob & Katie:

Oh there you are Toddophonic - thanks for a great time last night!
  1:36pm Tim C:

Great show Joe. Happy New Year
  1:38pm frenchee:

I'm dancing to this Bo-keys/Percy song! Hard to type and dance though.
  1:40pm frenchee:

Happy New Year, Joe, Parq, Rob and Katie, Toddophonic, etc. But where is KP?
  1:45pm Frank Above:

This Hives song was made for licensing. In other news, I was watching a Canadian feed for one of the World Junior Championship hockey games and I heard "Tell Me What You Want" by The Black Hollies on a commercial for a mobile phone service provider!
  1:47pm Miss V:

Oh I went to HDM and that show ROCKED!
  1:48pm Toddophonic:

You are welcome Rob & Katie! Great seeing you guys, Joe, Tom & Terre, Gaylord, Mike Sin etc. last night. WFMU in full effect!
  1:48pm efd:

Happy New Year Joe and everyone reading/listening! I'm enjoying the Three Chord Monte morning show this afternoon.
Avatar 1:56pm Joe B:

Avatar 1:57pm Joe B:

  2:08pm maja:

Avatar 2:10pm Joe B:

hey Jeff! hey KP! and L!

neil, just for you!
  2:10pm efd:

Best New Year's wishes I've heard all year, especially the one about resetting the pitch control.
  2:11pm Parq:

Wow, kind of hard to believe there'd be this many RC references in something produced for a national US audience.
  2:15pm SteveL:

Really enjoyed seeing Crazy Horse a few months back. Still got it.
  2:16pm Neil:

@ Parq. I know what you mean. RC Cola was purely regional.
  2:29pm Parq:

  2:29pm DN George:

Yeah Joe! JD McPherson ... best record of the year! (even if it supposedly was a re-release)
Avatar 2:30pm Joe B:

thanks for turning me on to it!
  2:34pm DN George:

Not sure if Jason's the drummer on the CD though ... is he?
Avatar 2:35pm Joe B:
