G'morning all!
  9:22am Cheri Pi:

Hello Scott & pals, ya know...I never "got" Bruce Springsteen. I'm a terrible person.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23am Scott:

Nope. You just need to forget everything you know and listen to Nebraska late at night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23am Scott:

But you're not a bad person :)
  9:24am Cheri Pi:

*shudder* I don't know if I can do that... but I'll try, one day, in the far future. I promise.
  9:27am DCE:

try to try, Cheri Pi
  9:28am Cheri Pi:

I will DCE! I'll get half way there, I know I will.
  9:37am adamp:

hey scott, glad youre alright!
  9:38am Cheri Pi:

We'll get there with some Wicked segues, just like we always do :)
  9:39am Brian in UK:

Hello Scott.
@Cheri Pi you are not alone. I can take East River Pipe late at night though. That does sound a bit dodgy!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am Scott:

Thanks Adam, how'd you fare, man??? Everything ok?
  9:40am Cheri Pi:

@Brian UK: teeheehee, there's a lot of double entendres on the board lately, embrace it!
  9:41am adamp:

flooded, relocated twice, subletting, more alive than ever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41am Scott:

  9:43am adamp:

nebraska nailed it
  9:44am Brian in UK:

@Cheri Pi
Woman goes into a bar and asks for a Double Ententre. The barman gives her one.
  9:45am bloop bloop:

watch it with that mac volume control!
  9:46am Pine:

That joke is even worse written down :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am Scott:

  9:48am DCE:

I don't get it. Anyway, coffee.
  9:50am alan r:

Scott....can you give us some Ted Curson? He passed away on Sunday. We're losing so many of the great musicians who took the music into the future!
  9:50am Cecile:

Cheri, Im in the same boat. I like all of Bruce's shallow party songs. I think "Pink Cadillac" is genius. As is "Cadillac Ranch". And "From Small Things Big Things Come."

Good morning, all.
  9:50am Cecile:

Ted Curson! He was great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52am Scott:

Yeah Alan, on the docket!
  10:04am eric:

Stupid question time: Why can't the record fair be rescheduled?
  10:09am George Serr:

You got it Scott. Wanaque!
  10:10am Cecile:

eric, I bet that venue is booked years in advance.
  10:12am Cheri Pi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am Scott:

Good question Eric. It's a whole lotta factors. Yes the venus is booked way in advance. Also getting the dealers, who come from all over the world, it has to have lots of lead time. There is talk of a mini record fair that may happen, though, a less huge undertaking.
  10:20am eric:

Dig. Thanks for explaining.
  10:20am Venus de Craigslist:

Book me, babee :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am Scott:

I wish we could have the record fair on Venus.
  10:29am G:

I hear the gaslines are shorter there.
  10:29am DCE:

eh, you might rethink that one; temps are high, vinyl melts, etc...then again, the women...
  10:31am Parq:

Wow, this Mingus is just about perfect.
  10:33am Parq:

@Brian in Britainia: Literally LOL.
  10:34am jojo:

I saw Sun Ra on Venus once. He was on fire.
  10:56am Joe McG:

Thanks, Scott, I forgot about this really nice Dylan song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Scott:

Hey Joe! Cool.
  10:59am Brian in UK:

@Parq the old ones are the best.

@Joe McG how are you friend?
  11:01am Joe McG:

@Brian: Well, sir! Looking forward to returning to the radio tomorrow night. Right now, I'm just enjoying Scott's always terrific show. Might have to dig out that Vernon Wray LP myself!
  11:05am Brian in UK:

I am double tracking with Doug's show. Ssshhh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09am Scott:

  11:11am Brian in UK:

@ Scott sometimes you and Doug have played the same artists but not YET hit the same track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am Scott:

really? Is that true? You mean at the same exact moment?
  11:21am Brian in UK:

Not quite Scott, but close.
  11:23am Parq:

Brian, it's always a pleasant surprise when I come across an old one I've never heard.
  11:25am Cecile:

that voice of the turtle - so many ideas in one song....!
  11:25am schinkenspeck:

Voice of the Turtle: Will go swimming in Ala Moana Park in Honolulu in a couple of hours - sometimes the sacred Honu swim there and often follow my wife during her swim - great to hear this now!
  11:27am DCE:

it's the strangest thing...whenever I leave my desk, the flash stream dies; rarely happens when I'm sitting here. I suspect foul play.
  11:28am tim from champaign:

Nice set, Scott. Excellent soundtrack for a little Friday morning coming down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am Scott:

Hawaii sounds nice right about now!
  11:31am hamburger:

nice segue
  11:33am Andrew Waterloo:

@DCE: is your computer going to sleep?
  11:39am DCE:

no, it never does that here at work
  11:43am kczm:

You've done it, mister Scott. You've put The George! Pledging from far away!
