Listener comments!

  8:11pm Joe Mulligan:

The hook in this arthur russell track reminds me of a SAW II track by RDJ
  8:12pm /r:

  8:19pm Stina:

  8:20pm kevin:

  8:39pm northguineahills:

Ha! Irwin played Ondatrópica ealier. Is it in the new bin? (I dig it)
  8:40pm D in Miami:

I knew it was too good to last.
  8:46pm carlos:

I never know what to call this style of music! I feel like it sounds related to reggada...
  8:49pm northguineahills:

Doug Schulkind's Mining the Motherlode blog, linked an excellent live proto-rai concert in Algiers, 1969 (vols 10-11, recomended, 12, is French revaunchism Western-classical.)
  8:49pm northguineahills:

  8:52pm carlos:

Wowowowow
  8:56pm /r:

Carlos -- the Ramzi or the Nemri?
  8:57pm BA:

whoa, beautiful cello on this Ramzi track
  8:57pm Joe Mulligan:

The outro for "Cliffs" was the song I was thinking about.
  8:58pm carlos:

The Nemri one's the one I can't identify, with the gasbah. The wowowow was specifically about the Ramzi (amazing!). But I like them both :)
  8:58pm /r:

Ramzi is mezwed but its the only song that sounds like that!
  8:59pm /r:

this Cd calls Nemri staifi / chaoui but to my ears its not rly chaoui
  9:00pm BA:

who is that cellist i wonder?!
  9:01pm Stina:

I wanna hear more Chamber Music. Good stuff.
  9:01pm /r:

BA -- its Vincent Segal, from the Chamber Music LP (not Ramzi)
  9:02pm BA:
