frenchee:

I am doing the frug right now. Hard to type while doing so, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
  1:14pm
Mike Sin:

Hey folks!
  1:20pm
Stan:

This track makes me suspect that Robert Pollard is capable of time travel.
  1:20pm
Jay/ London:

Hey mike got your email so here I am .. very hot here in London 31c so am looking forward to your cool sounds
  1:36pm
Baskerville Rob:

Yo, Mr. Natural! Breadstick here. Stoked by your heavy sunshine! Disco lives forever, don't cha know.
  1:46pm
KP:

Are the Mp3 streams struggling? I'm forced to listen to coffee bean music in this Starbucks?
  1:46pm
DG:

Mike---acc. to Wikipedia, the Kinks album actually was "improved" in the studio. They fixed some of the music, and the audience is on a tape loop(!)....still doesn't explain why the sound is so awful (I've heard bootlegs that sounded better than the CD). Like the show, & thanks for playing my friend Mike Lynch.

Hey DG thanks for the heads-up on the Kinks record!

Mike Sin:

Hey Stan! I don't think Bob Pollard time travels so much as he is everywhere all the time.

Jeff (WFMU tech guy):

KP, Mike:
I'm having no trouble right now listening to the 32K or 128K MP3 streams (well, except that it's harder to listen to the 32K one because it doesn't sound nearly as good). That's in Jersey City via Comcast, which means that the streams are getting out from the station into the world.

There are no red or even amber flags on our big server monitoring board, or the warning emails I'd get it something had come down hard.

And there are 348 listeners currently connected to the 128K stream; if it'd been flaky, that would usually drop off.

KP, any chance there's
something else busted in the network connection you're trying to use? Mobile data or possibly imperfect Starbucks WiFi?

Mike Sin:

Hey Baskerville Rob! Thanks for checking in.
  2:16pm
David Shortell:

"The Live Kinks" was such a flop, it's amazing that Reprise kept the LP in print for so long. I bought it brand new in the 1980s!
  2:20pm
Andy A:

Them there Dead End Kids had a top ten hit in the UK with their "Have I The Right Cover." And now I need to go outside.
  2:20pm
Mike East:

I just discovered a local record store that plays WFMU inside. I don't know how I've missed it all these years.
  2:24pm
Baskerville Rob:

Enjoying the show and so is this girl next to me in hot pants. The Go-Go's tune was a nice to hear again.
  2:29pm
Joltz:

'The Live Kinks' was recorded in 1967, not 1966. April 1, 1967 to be precise.
