Listener comments!

  3:03pm BSI:

........is this the afterlife?
  3:03pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

G'day Scott. Can't wait to tell you all about the Nektar show I saw last night....I know you're very interested in them.
  3:03pm julia!:

so glad you guys are holding on up there and that you could make it in!
  3:05pm Scott W:

yo y'all! BSI: nope, that was back in May; DCE: yeah, CAN'T WAIT!; Julia!: rode my bike thru a few feet of water and my shoes ain't happy about it, but it's almost embarrassing how little we were affected. FMU's main studio however is rank and wet.
  3:05pm Scott W:

hope you can get to Princeton tonight!
  3:06pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

your tape is PHASING HEAVILY
  3:06pm hubba:

word em up everyone...
  3:08pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

at their best, Nektar reminded me of Uriah Heep and Vanilla Fudge. At their worst, Nektar reminded me of Asia and Spinal Tap.
  3:09pm Parq:

There's a remix of Irene coverage already? My, the changing technology ...
  3:10pm Scott W:

wow, you're really selling it hard there DCE! Parq, I'm sure there are lotsa
  3:11pm fake new yorker:

Zone B represent!
  3:11pm Adam:

@DCE, did you see Brain Ticket too?
  3:11pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

oh I moved into hard sales last week, and I'm working on my technique. BUY THIS NOW.
  3:11pm julia!:

no way dude. all roads to princeton are jacked. no radio for me tonight. but at least i can enjoy your show for the meantime!
  3:11pm BSI:

new meaning to "acid rain," no?
  3:12pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

yeah, Brainticket was trying way too hard to sell faux psychedelia. All in all though still kind of fun. A big production. Just one original member.
  3:12pm Scott W:

oh julia, that sucks!
  3:13pm still b/p:

Didn't Petula Clark sing a song, Don't Stand or Congregate in a Glass Lobby, Baby?
  3:13pm BSI:

DCE: yeh, I was afraid of that. Brainticket would've been my reason to attend the one down here, but....... figured..... it had the potential to be regrettably sad...
  3:15pm Parq:

@Scott, 3:10: I'mimpressed to know the remix community was working so hard yesterday while I was drinking coffee and reading the comics online.
  3:17pm REMIXers Local 932:

we never sleep til we bring you the BLEEP!
  3:17pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

so what's the pic of--my machine is ignoring my request to "show picture".
  3:17pm pierre:

Bonjour every single one !
  3:20pm Scott W:

  3:20pm noeems:

hi pierre, hey everyone
  3:21pm don:

yo scott, yo all,
favorite part of the weekend was seeing a lady in the enormous dollar store line with 8 hula hoops, 5 playground balls and a coca cola ... getting ready for the cane... http://glimpsecontrol.com/hula_irene.jpg
  3:21pm Dave B:

cr@pola... did I miss the Traktorization of Holdsworth?
  3:25pm Scott W:

  3:26pm julia!:

a perfect afternoon for KV!
  3:27pm Dave B:

I blame my soon to be former boss for calling that meeting. Oh well, I'll always have the archives.
  3:31pm pierre:

  3:45pm Mike East:

Thanks for that link DCE. I heard about that guy on 1010WINS this morning during my 3 hour (usually 1 hour) commute.
  3:46pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

it was weird, I was half-listening to Scott talking (who whole-listens to him??) and it appeared before me. Sort of like Nektar.
  3:48pm BSI:

  3:49pm Looms:

  3:49pm hubba:

Ken should put that guy on his playlist... fun, fun, fun...
  3:50pm Carmichael:

  3:51pm hubba:

  3:52pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

spooge is off the table
  3:54pm Carmichael:

Hey Hubba, not recently. Will tomorrow, definitely.
  3:54pm BSI:

.......so many things are off the table.
  3:55pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

my table was too cluttered anyway
  3:56pm pierre:

i love what i'm hearing very much
  3:56pm andymorphic:

this rev cells is an amazing groove
  4:08pm pierre:

i like that you don't type in track's date, thus it always give a surprise/mixed/mystery feeling while searching for infos on the artists.
  4:09pm Dave B:

  4:10pm alberto:

just tried it...yximallo backwards sounds like "well i'm me sky"
  4:11pm Dave B:

but if you read it backwards, it reads like "Hola Mixy"
  4:13pm alberto:

my favorite is marijuana, it sounds like "i know where i am"
  4:14pm pierre:

a good thing the emergency system works.
  4:16pm WiLd NeiL:

The air schedule is accepting arrivals, but I think departures are s.....l.....o......w..
  4:20pm WiLd NeiL:

  4:20pm hubba:

  4:25pm Scott W:

  4:39pm Dave B:

I suppose you got that "dramadancesing" cut in time. The YouTuber pulled it already.
  4:42pm Brian in UK:

Snaefell is the highest point in the Isle of Man as opposed to the Isle of View (which we all love). I guess Scott youmight have visited Snowdon the highest point in Wales with a magnificent 360 degree view.
  4:43pm Dave B:

@Pierre - "I'll bleed on you!"
  4:43pm hubba:

This reminds me of SF Seals a bit...
  4:46pm Scott W:

  4:51pm duff:

Good to hear this Rain Parade track again.
  4:53pm Ike:

  4:54pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Outer Space is John Elliott from Emeralds. Another CLE character! yayayayaY!
  5:01pm hubba:

Did WFMU receive that Butte County Free Music Society box set? It is kinda ordered like the LAFMS set, but I'm pretty sure Barbara Manning has some entries ont here, pretty cool stuff.
  5:04pm BSI:

Groovy show, boss.
Have a pint of something brown,
and rock until death.
  5:07pm Dave B:

This made me LOL

  5:13pm Carmichael:

Barbara Manning's contribution is under Hallucinatory Companion. The credits can get pretty confusing.
  5:13pm Mike East:

@Dave B, I like it. I didn't LOL, but I did chuckle silently.
  5:14pm Scott W:

love the stuff she does w/ Seymour Glass as Glands of External Secretion. Not sure if we have this comp
  5:16pm hubba:

@Carm - I was surprised the level of weirdness bubbling in Butte... She used to perform around here more often, but not so much lately.
  5:20pm Carmichael:

Crazy farmers .....
  5:25pm hubba:
