  3:52pm sinner:

  3:56pm Scott:

Sinner! Bro. It's true everybody, he did
  3:56pm Bas, NL:

Hello Scott! Hi all! Tuned in just in time for Forsyth! Great!
  4:02pm Parq:

Officially creeped out by this RW Atom track. If I were this guy's girlfriend, I'd get an order of protection, pronto.
  4:02pm BSI:

  4:03pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  4:03pm Interwebs:

  4:07pm chris:

  4:08pm BSI:

Swollen egg!
  4:08pm Scott Fan!:

He's not a bad egg in the long run, if you like your eggs a little runny!
  4:09pm Scott:

I always liked you best Chris, and i do like the eggies
  4:15pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  4:20pm Arnold:

  4:20pm Alex:

  4:20pm Marmalade Kitty:

Eggs? Mmm why not!
  4:20pm BSI:

poached = great, so long as there's sriracha within arm's reach.
hell, anything is great so long as there's sriracha within arm's reach.
  4:21pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

grandma used to make me creamed eggs and mushrooms over toast. what a weird meal.
  4:22pm RobotBoy:

Scott's eggs bring all the boys to the yard.
  4:23pm JJ:

what was that catalog insert yo la tengo had for one of their albums? bunch of fake bands on matador I think it was. that was funny stuff.
  4:28pm Scott:

yeah, i think one of em was the condo fucks, ha
  4:29pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  4:34pm JJ:

Oh yeah, Condo Fucks! They ended up using that. Found the insert: http://www.matadorrecords.com/images/matablog/ole-222_a.jpg
  4:35pm Handsome Harry:

god I love fake bands. That Earth Girl Helen Brown track was swell as hell.
  4:37pm RobotBoy:

Scott, how long have you had a show on WFMU? I notice your playlists go back to 97... I was but a chirpling in middle school back then.
  4:38pm Scott:

Yeah RobotBoy, that's when
  4:39pm Brian in UK:

@ Robotboy. Scott jnr is in high skool now I believe. Isn't that right Scott.
  4:39pm RobotBoy:

Yeah? I thought the playlists just went back so far. I think Ken's go back to 1996... didn't he probably have a show before then? Someone should write a book on WFMU, man.
  4:40pm Scott:

you referring to my goose there, Brian?
  4:41pm Brian in UK:

You bet Scott.
@ Robotboy. What would that prove. THIS IS FREEFORM
  4:43pm Brian in UK:

To define is to destroy the essence.
  4:44pm bennett4senate:

booooo! put it back on 33!!!
  4:44pm Ike:

Depends on the DJ, RBBoy. One or two DJs, e.g. Dave Mandl, kept electronic playlists before there was a World Wide Web. DM posted them to Usenet. I was on his e-mail list and got e-mail playlists after each show, I think. Dave Mandl and Ken's shows go well back before such things, I think. Late 80s maybe?

Great show Scott!
  4:45pm RobotBoy:

Like you wouldn't read it. It would top the NY Times' bestseller list! At least for borderline Aspies like me.
  4:45pm Scott:

Yo Bennett! Thank Ike!
  4:45pm don:

yo scott. ya, man.
  4:45pm RobotBoy:

Sun O))) covering suicide? Rad.
  4:46pm Scott:

Hey Don!! How you doin?
  4:51pm The Book on FMU:

Man, the stories I could tell. De mas!
  4:53pm don:

doin well, thanks. the winter persists!
and how are things with you and yours?
  4:53pm RobotBoy:

Hehe. All the drugs, groupies, and run-ins with the law. Plus the fact that WFMU is really a CIA front. Hey, they took Rockefeller money once! Hiss! Boo!
  4:56pm Scott:

All good, all good Don, thanks
  4:58pm MuttonChops:

This and "You Lost That Loving Feelin'" Fantastic picks
  4:59pm bennett4senate:

awesome I'm Not In Love cover, what year's this from? Zola Jesus vibes
  4:59pm don:

ha, nice!
i used to post here as "it's because"
  5:01pm MuttonChops:

Do a cover show, but everything is a cover after all.
  5:01pm Don mclean:

Different Don, the lanky British one. Hello!! I should be able to come in and pack envelopes soon! Can't wait!! Hopefully I can make it Friday! I miss wfmu!!!!
  5:02pm Scott:

oh my god, this fucking cover!! yeah, she's amazing. I think this is from around 87 or so. she also directed this great version of Flannery O'Connor's "A Good Man Is Hard to Find", called "Black Hearts Bleed Red" - Joe Coleman as the Misfit! See it at ubu: http://www.ubu.com/film/transgression.html
  5:03pm Scott:

Don McLean! How are -you- doin???
  5:04pm Don mclean:

No sleep, loads of crying, plenty of dirty nappies (diapers), you know the drill!!
  5:05pm MuttonChops:

Thanks for the Ubu tip, Scott.
  5:07pm Scott:

i bet! yeah dude, i know what a nappy is
  5:09pm MuttonChops:

That horny devil might get poison oak on his Ubu Tip.
  5:12pm Scott:

  5:13pm Mike East:

Don, you were at Town Hall last week, right? You got some backline from us. How were those Gibsons?
  5:15pm Mike East:

Or is that a different Don McLean?
  5:28pm Bas, NL:

Yesss!!! Kendra Smith!!! Big fav of mine!
  5:29pm Scott:

oh yeah, Bas! I remember hearing this on fmu all the time in the mid-90s
  5:30pm Bas, NL:

I think i heard this song some years back on your show and i bought the CD right after! Haayy, hoooo, heeeyyy!!
  5:31pm Scott:

oh, nice!
  5:37pm RobotBoy:

That's the problem with WFMU. You actually hear stuff you haven't heard, which motivates the music obsessive types like myself to collect, collect. The commercial radio plays the same five Bruce Springsteen songs over and over, never have to worry about hearing anything new from that.
  5:41pm Handsome Harry:

Love this one by Tom Zé.
  5:42pm slugluv1313:

YES! btw -- any idea what Kendra Smith is doing these days? all searches seem to say the same thing -- she has been living in the woods since mid-1990s. etc. -- anyone have any more recent news???
  5:43pm don:

fucking whoa!
  5:50pm MuttonChops:

This Sabertooth is growling. That is a Cougar to another feline.
  5:50pm BSI:

  5:51pm Bas, NL:

Scott W on slide..
  5:56pm MuttonChops:

Rod me baby!
  5:58pm JJ:

Rod ruined that song Taj Mahal for me.
  6:01pm Bas, NL:

Too good, too short.. Thanks Scott.
