Leo Gillespie:

Hi Jason,it was a pleasant surprise after forty one years to hear me singing the Robin MacWilliam song on your playlist. Morning Calm was short lived but managed to touch the vibes of those amazing Paris days...and the moment as it passed.Greeting,Leo Gillespie (Morning Calm)
Gerry Field:

The recording of Morning Calm was very interesting to hear since I played the violin in that trio in 1969 and we never actually heard the product. I'd love to get the whole album at least . I was 20 years old... 42 years ago. Leo Gillespie has sent me some great video clips in his many venues of performances. I still perform in Chicago and Didier Malherbe has done well in France with Gong and his own groups. Who found this album? It's the first time I 've heard it. The summer of 1969 we played mostly in front of a cafe on Blvd Montparnasse and Patty Smith passed the hat for us. She went on to punk rock stardom in the US to our great surprise. Even though she told us she was writing poetry, she never sang or performed with us. She was a great friend at that time and as it often happens, that friendship was lost to stardom. For me it was quite a summer. I thank you for playing the clip from the album. We also performed on a French tv show and Leo has that tape (Patty and her sister Linda can be seen for about a second in that tv show) Anyway , it's all in the past and is now just fun to recap. There is a possibility we may have a reunion performance in Chicago.

Hey, Jason - is there any way to get a copy of the whole album of Reji Cat JimZ's Christ? Let me know. I'd buy it from any of you guys who own a copy.
