sydneysider:

"A rice wine pub in the heart of Madrid.
Sounds sweet, huh?"
Can we return the Cramps to the pantheon of cool, Jason? They seem to have fallen from grace somewhat.
Hey, Annie!
  9:26am
bennett4senate:

  9:31am
annie:

SS!! i've got a crush on Chic. manual of style
  9:33am
jason:

mornin good people! glad to be here with you. the cramps are eternally cool sydneysider
  9:35am
sydneysider:

hours of fun, i know. but written with insufficient style, perhaps. Fowler's Modern English Usage is still the most entertaining, esp if you can get a 1920 edition! The Cambridge Guide to English Usage is well written too... the author's just up the road from here in Sydney and she's a sweetheart. but probably unfamiliar with the Cramps, which is her loss...
  9:42am
bennett4senate:

people be loviin Thee Oh Sees on this here radio station
  9:47am
Cheri Pi:

B4S-I love the Oh Sees! My TT is broken so I'm relying on WFMU to play them for me.
  9:51am
bennett4senate:

  9:53am
Cheri Pi:

  10:00am
hamburger:

hey bennett - was dusty due to fill-in for you last week? i had this idea of him waking up at 4am with a phone call from you saying 'I can't make it to the station!!! can you fill in for me???' hehe ;-)
  10:04am
bennett4senate:

@hamburger - The Pidge came through in a pinch for sure!!! I was stuck in a tiny airport where all the chain restaurants had closed, so it was not intentional.... clay is a late night cat so he had a good old time. But enough about my show, Jason lets goooooooo
  10:06am
bennett4senate:

(p.s. is anyone hearing that crackling on the 128kb mp3 stream? Jason I could hear it especially when you were talking)
  10:09am
BSI:

128kb MP3 stream sounds clear as the driven ferrets over here.
  10:12am
bennett4senate:

ok good clearly I got probs.
  10:13am
annie:

ss, we had fowler's 1920 when i was young. my parents were bibliophiles..
  10:17am
Tom:

I always said that the only reason Pollard broke up GBV was so he could do a reunion tour a few years later.
  10:18am
don trust:

bennett.. same thing happened to me yesterday.. it was an old version i think.. i redownloaded it and its golden crisp
  10:42am
Tom:

RIP TULI!
  10:42am
don trust:

great version, gabor
  11:16am
Ike:

Hey hey hey! These musics are spectangular, Jason! (That's spectacular and rectangular together.) AAC+ stream is still crackly though, but 128k MP3 sounds pristine.
  11:26am
jason:

hey hey Ike! long time no see

Tom that is probably right. Also so he could do the "Electrifying Conclusion Tour"
  11:32am
doron:

streams have been de-crackified
  11:37am
still b/p:

That track from Excavated Shellac was great. Recorded in Casablanca in '29.
  11:42am
Ike:

There's an "incomparable" mention of FMU in a letter to the editor in this week's New Yorker, re: a Sasha Frere-Jones article about Pandora. Perhaps expect an influx of mystified new listeners.
