Hey there. I'm from Perth, Western Australia. Just started listening to wfmu today, and I'm blown away by how amazing this station is. I've been tuning in out throughout the last four or five programs, and I've been impressed by all of them. Kudos to you all!

I don't get into the city much when I'm in PA, but I love the National Aviary, and I hope to get to the museums someday, as well as some of the record stores...

dc pat, we're headed to Squirrel Hill. In the next neighborhood over, Regent Square, there is an excellent food coop. When me and the fam were in Pittsburgh in early April, we went over to the coop and the first person we see coming out is wearing a WFMU t-shirt. I practically broke down crying.

A berliner -- and that's its English name too -- is the type of danish that's a spiral around an open "eye" of fruit filling.

My family is from the Pittsburgh area. Father from McKeesport (Goodman's jewelry was Uncle Sam's), Mother from Brownsville (up the Youghegenny from there). It's an area of Croatian settlement (accounting for Mother's side), and the Croatian Fraternal Union is in Monroeville. Uncle Eddie lived in Squirrel Hill. The water's pretty awful, the air was rapidly improving but still left a lot to desire last I was there, but it's a nice place otherwise. Of course it all depends on the people you deal with there, as everywhere.

Ok, I know I can always click into the archives, but it's not the same when you're listening to a programme you've already heard.

The answer is YES. This new stream will be very similar to the fine Rock 'n' Soul Ichiban stream/blog. The one difference is that I will be doing Give the Drummer Some LIVE on this stream. When I am not on the air, the stream will run a continuous rotation of amazing music that I will be curating.

Whew- - i'm coming out of anonymity with a busload of thanks. writing from Chengdu China. Bandwidth issues have kept my speakers slient on Fridays (nights now) for many months and I got worried there for a few minutes with the talk of moving on...but the last set break cleared things up - it is so nice to know that you will still be only a couple of clicks away!
