Listener comments!

  2:06am Joe:

What happened man?!

How's it feel being a "Weekender"?
  2:07am Celly Cell:

Man, at least you got out. I'm still in here, in jail without no bail.
  2:08am brass monkey:

thugz 4 life
  2:08am Joe:

S'aright. I once got took down for hopping the turnstyle.

And I still haven't paid that ticket for smoking in the subway.
  2:09am brass monkey:

they send you to jail 4 that? Nah man, that is wack
  2:11am brass monkey:

i wrote on a subway poster once. Never looked back. Maybe theres a warrant out for my arrest. Ill plead diminished capacity (I was drunk) If they havent found me by now they never will. Another time i didnt have a life vest on in a small lake - you gotta believe I never paid that.
  2:16am marty:

becareful w/ the warrants man thats what happened to me got the ticket for riding on the side walk then never paid then doubled up on the turnstile, 10 min later i was in cuffs. 38 hours later i got outa jail. Who else has got a jail story?
  2:23am Joe:

Woooooow. Rikers?

I spent 12 hours cuffed during the 2003 Iraq protests. I was 16, about 5'6, 140 pounds... you'd have thought I was a linebacker when they took me out.
  2:24am brass monkey:

zabriskie point has a nice jail scene - they are all giving their names as Karl Marx and stuff
  2:25am brycepunk:

Marty, that story made me sad. How absurd is it that not only can' you ride on the sidewalk (which I always do to avoid getting hit by cars) but that they'd actually persue it and hold you captive.
At least you got a good theme for the show tonight.
  2:26am Joe:

And I didn't even get arrested. And they weren't even real cuffs they were the fucking zip ties. It sucked.

Also, DJ Screw died from sizzurp. Thats right, the guy who invented chopped & screwed died doing what he loved.
  2:37am marty:

never realized nyquil was so dangerous
  2:47am marty:

never mind. i got crunk on it after drinking $1 beers all night at a coolio/tone loc concert at the race track in LA. and then fell asleep driving home. totally dangerous
  2:51am BillyJam:

as BrycePunk noted above - at least you got an inspired theme for your show....but at such a cost.....And how fucked up is the whole situation? Totally.... I know several other folks in NYC how have gone to jail for the weekend (a common BS move by the NY po po) over similar small level offenses (including lots of weed stories). Talk to you soon Marty - peace
  3:00am marty:

like 70% of everone in there was for minor weed charges.
  3:18am brass monkey:

city has gotta make money. hakedown, breakdown, takedown. Everybody wants into the crowded light
  3:20am brass monkey:

30 days in the hole
That's what they give you now
30 days in the hole
Oh, yeah
30 days in the hole
All right, all right
30 days in the hole
  3:22am brass monkey:

Where it's dark as a dungeon damp as the dew danger is double pleasures are few
Where the rain never falls the sun never shines
It's a dark as a dungeon way down in the mine
  4:45am Joshua K:

ahh I am tuning in late.
Theres this ragga dancehall tune: Busy Signal - Nah Go Jail Again
  4:56am marty:

no doubt. I honestly thing my shit channeled ODB's spirt though the same floor Big Baby Jesus prob slept on so many times and year before me and put his arm around me and saw me though the whole ordeal.
  5:07am brass monkey:

eating syrup sammiches with odb - one day
  5:19am Joshua K:

I sent a check once after getting a ticket for not having validated my newark subway ticket ($71 fine) but they never got it, then they put a warrant out cause I didn't show up. Had to go down and spend 4-5 hours waiting to be called just to pay the ticket and then pay extra fees to get the warrant lifted. Couldn't sleep after I got that warrant notice, was afraid I would get pulled over or something and get busted.
  5:59am Lovich:

Save us from the ball and chain,
oh yeah,
The diggers and the tower cranes...
  2:20am jailbird complice:

all my fault!
kind of.
  4:24am BUFF:
