Billy Jam:

Welcome to WFMU - the best goddam radio station ever, anywhere....for reals.....This episode is deciated to diehard FMU fan LS Monkey, an artist who regularly paints as she listens to shows on WFMU. A NJ native who lives in West Oakland - LS Monkey is pictured left with her dawg Lulu and her car with WFMU sticker. WFMU is a very tangible part of LS Monkey's life. It was thanks to a mututal love of WFMU that she met her BFF/boyfirend Timi D... and, sadly, upon her dad George Chase''s tragic sudden death twp months ago she reached out to WFMU (playlist/archive = http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/30733) to help mourn her New Jersey dad. .......This show is the sixth last one of this season as we tick down to the summer of '09. Thanks to everyone who listens to WFMU + don't forget later this evening and again on May 20th Dave the Spazz School of Rock Fundraiser for WFMU May 15th and 20th! Join us for an evening hosted by Dave the Spazz, with handpicked-by-Dave music performed by local branches of the Paul Green School of Rock and the School of Rock Allstars! A chimpified, sonic soiree of overmodulated, toe-stubbing rock and roll music as performed by junior high and high school kids! Shows are Friday May 15th at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park NJ and Wednesday May 20th at BB King's in midtown Manhattan! Ticket info at their sites! Proceeds benefit freeform WFMU!!

ALF of Hip Hop Slam:

What up LS Monkey?! Cheers to you for all that you do!

Confused! May 10?!? Date is wrong! And I'm here too early. Posting before the show is cheating! Hmm. Cheating is fun.

I'm confused Billy. Oh no! am I 5 days behind!

Is that a liver-colored Boston Terrier she's walking?
Lisa M.:

oh, I miss Oakland. but not that infamous day, lol.

What up Bill n Alf, hope you are all doing good. Checking in now. Big up from Dub looking forward to the show. Peace
Feral Cat:

Joe Steele:

I missed a Radiohead sample? I suck.

This is making the last hour of work go by faster and put me in a mellow mood.

Goddamned WORK!
I missed the artful blend of Bryce-to-Billy Jam... was there righteous cross-contamination?

Tell me there was righteous cross-contamination!

Back from lunch and reaching for the volume knob. Cheers, Billy!
Bryce's mom:

yes it was righteous.....Right Said Fred -teous.......Wot up all my son's listnerers.......Hi BillyJam....thanks for that sticky bud the other nite
Chadsey Collins:

@magda- I think that's just the black & blues

"West" Oakland, LS Monkey? That's funny. I guess I'd try to pinpoint whereabouts in Oakland I live, too. That's cool, long as it's not 14th St.

Love vibrations being sent to the Monkey

Who, you're confusing me, Billy. I almost got up and left for a Thursday lunch break.
Lisa M.:

Hmm.Im not too familiar with East or West Oakland. But in my visit two weeks ago, I stayed about 10 mins from the Ashby Street Bart. Not certain what section is that.
Bad Ronald:

Big love to all esp. LS Monkey!

Mmmm sticky bud....

Billy, ya tasteful feck, ya.
Feral Cat:

Only crackheads sleep in the subway...and huge rats with belly's full of poison.

Lisa, you were right on the Oakland-Berkeley border. Nowhere near .. <ahem> ... "downtown".
Lisa M.:

Damn Billy, the stickiest of the Icky, lol.. I sure could use some, haha:-)

Do not eat the poisoned rat bellies, o cat.

Do their bellies get acclimated?
Lisa M.:

aha, okay. Thanks Carmichael Now one night I did go downtown, calling myself wanting to see the sights. I left after 15 mins:-)
Feral Cat:

opps...ignore those typos...it's hard typing with cat paws.
Kim (the upcoming bride):

Hey Billy, thanks for the lovely shout out, What a wonderful way to end the workday.
Feral Cat:

Don't know about that Ike but they will take bites out of crackheads if that's any use...tell your friends with flesh.

This here is some filthy blissout, captain.

Thanks for the shout out for Kim's wedding, it's going to be such an awesome party- mother of the groom says she is digging the set!

John Today:

Feral Cat:

Feral Cat:

Joe Steele:

Charlie says:

Sean Daily:

Not even cloe to first comment! Woo hoo!

Kendall, Did you make it out to the Corn Islands?
Sean Daily:

Or close, ee-vun!
Jack Handy:

I think a good gift for the President would be a chocolate revolver. And since he is so busy, you'd probably have to run up to him real quick and give it to him.

Devin: no I have yet to ever go to the Atlantic Coast (except maybe when I was little and can't remember). I stayed around Montelimar, Masaya, Jinotepe, that area. I've heard a lot of great things about the East though so next time I think I'll go that way.

We're watching you Jack....
Bad Ronald:

Billy, why isn't your show from 8-11 when people are starting to party? The station should rival other stations playing one jam after the next during that time. Just a marketing thought.

Can someone invent some kinda alert system, to turn on The Magically Delicious Cure to What Ails Me if / when I'm burrowed too depply into stupid despair/malaise to turn on The Magically Delicious Cure to What Ails Me?
I could set up a script to email or SMS myself Fridays at 11:55am Pacific, sure, but that's about as sensible a solution as dating the oldest flamiest bit of torture I wouldn't even have thought of, now, innit.
Next week. Tuning in. Lateish but still. Gettin' in the groove, remembering how it all fits.
Gracias, archives, for being my bootstrap.
