I see some comments on New Orleans here, so I'll just add: we just got back from there a few days ago (had a family wedding) & I'd recommend visiting the WWII museum, as well as a (new?) Jazz Museum, which had Louis Armstrong's cornet, & an exhibit devoted to Louisiansa blues/funk, etc. Wasn't our first visit so we skipped Preservation Hall & didn't have much time for clubs, etc. but had a great burger at Saint John's (named for Mac Rebennack), did a 2nd line from the wedding at Music Box Village to Vaughn's Lounge on St. Charles, & shopped around Royal for awhile. I found a battered pile of mostly Air Supply albums left in front of my door on Grand Street, Brooklyn. And in the middle of this pile of trash was an unplayed red vinyl copy of Blonder and Blonder. I still don't understand it.

Thanks for the great show, Michael! Just the antidote for overcast November day in NW Michigan.

same here! I know at least the first 3 Muffs albums, or 2 of those and then I found a third. Longtime love affair.

Keep an eye on the Omnivore label page. They stock all of the Muffs work and have periodic sales.

A bandmate (who goes to NO a lot) said Kermit Ruffins used to play there a lot, but don't think he does anymore. I assume they have live shows sometimes, but that stage (where the DJs were) was really small.
