Hi Chresti! I was ok with them as a small child. It was when I grew up and learned about the dark side of the circus, which is very creepy all around. The Joker characters (all of them) in Batman t.v. and films didn’t help. Actual serial killers who dressed up as clowns contributed to my phobia. It went south from there very quickly.

I had a different version of him doing that on a release called EPs. That track is listed as "previously unreleased extended version" and is different from the one Scott just played. But the Peel Sessions popped right up when I looked for them.

Getting back to something you said earlier in the show Scott...You should do an entire show on the year 1984. If you haven't already

I like everything he’s ever done. I feel sad that he is unwell and likely no longer in command of his faculties.

I was just at the library reading the L.A. times. One of the librarians there and I chat once in awhile. When I first met her she told me she lived down the street from Danny Whitten in Echo Park in the early 70's. She said Crazy Horse would practice in a barn at the back of the property. She also told me it was not a good scene, always a lot of screaming and yelling. Of course we know what happened to Danny.

Sad story - the needle and the damage done...

Of note: Danny was the writer of "I Don't Want to Talk About It", popularized by Rod Stewart and Everything But The Girl.

Right. And I think Neil has quite a temper, or did so back in the day.
I don’t think any of them was abstinent. There’s a lot of narco chauvinism in our culture, back then and still now.
