All vinyl and mostly “oldies” in the broadest sense of the word. Probably a better outlet for me than constantly spamming songs to friends via text.

are u gettin' rained on...?
  12:09am
late night clara-tea:

↳ tom tom the pipers son @12:08
Yup, though this rainstorm isn't nearly as bad as the last one. And besides, I am more an East Coast-er than a West Coast-er anyway, so this rain doesn't faze me
  12:09am
late night clara-tea:

↳ late night clara-tea @12:09
With that said, the roads here aren't built for the rain and people here don't know how to drive in the rain, so I stay off the roads as much as I can anyway

Greetings Richard Welcome back!
  12:15am
tom tom the pipers son:

u huh, ordinarily, i found west coast drivers to be good and cooperating to making lane changes and stuff like that, but also drive at high speed, remember being on pc1 driving into san francisco with everybody going 80, but you could still change lanes pretty easy. also remember being on an inland hwy from sanfran to l.a. with people going 100
  12:16am
late night clara-tea:

↳ tom tom the pipers son @12:15
Haha, maybe it's because traffic is usually so bad that we're just crawling along, so when there's the chance to floor it, people go as fast as they can!

that hwy w/ people going 100 was pretty crazy, but not too many cars so you didn't feel you going that fast... nothing to relate to.

my first time in california took a plane to ...la? , my companion rented a car. on the 10th day, day of departure we were in escondido visiting a friend and realised we might not get to the plane on time. late enough many people wouldn't even try.
i took this as an excuse to drive as fast as i like.
i fit right in, going >100mph. ours was nearly the fastest car on highway 1 that morning but i was glad when occasionally someone passed us!
made the flight.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am

as i remember there was old hwy 1, pacific coast highway, which was BEAUTIFUL and fun but not efficient;
and hwy 1-5 (?) which was multilane and busy. we only used that road that morning because of our predicament.

from wiki...re: last teardrop

"The song was written in 1967 and had been recorded more than two dozen times. It had achieved modest success in versions by various performers; the original by Duane Dee reached number 44 on the Billboard country chart in early 1968, and Linda Martell sent her version to number 33 in early 1970. Jerry Lee Lewis included it on his 1969 album, Another Place Another Time."
