Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

My music guru and I have been musing on how surprising the “Oh-Ok” complete recorded history CD collection is now going for $200.! Can’t brother Micheal S. help a sister out and get that officially re-released.
- for ALL our benefit. I had totally forgotten about the band - until recently. Never found anything on a CD.

Yea - thanks Julie for your Discogs assistance. I hadn’t initially noticed that the “Oh-Ok” Happy Birthday label LP ONLY Re-Collection has been reissued again for 2021!
& yes, Not as complete, yet at least it exists. My record player is currently in need of repairs. Perhaps I will just buy a new one.

don't sit on the grass it's too cold for your ass lol
Avatar 🦇 10:34pm

I was wondering if I really heard that
  10:34pm
Erik (VT):

Re Tori Amos: I too had stalled out (albeit later-on with 1999’s creative “To Venus & Back”). Yet was able to belatedly collect most of her newer catalog over time.
I must admit, imo most of her mid-latter recordings are just as good, if not stronger, than her early material.
  10:35pm
davefromtoronto:

↳ Julie @10:34
i had to google it
Avatar 🦇 10:36pm
Julie:

Sometimes I feel like my brain isn't big enough to hold more than 3-4 full albums per artist.
  10:46pm
Curtis:

I think most artists have a 3-4 album peak that is their best work and those are the ones that are easily remembered
  10:47pm
Erik (VT):

I usta wish preferred Kate Bush would have been as prolific as Tori Amos. Yet…then realized it wouldn’t have been as special if she kept cranking product out. The far & few between made “Aerial’s” double album arrival a revelation!
Avatar 🦇 10:48pm
Julie:

@Erik maybe a COUPLE more in there for Kate please? @Curtis yes that's probably true too.
