↳ Song: "Muskrat Love" by "Captain & Tennille"

There was a musician in the Houston,TX aera back in the early 80's, a guy named Shake Russell who had ties to Ramsey & this song.

↳ Song: "Muskrat Love" by "Captain & Tennille"
WP: "The song has synthesizer-generated sound effects that Daryl Dragon (also known as the Captain) created which are meant to evoke the imagined sounds of muskrats mating.

When Captain & Tennille were asked by US President Gerald Ford and his wife to perform “The Way I Want to Touch You” at the White House Bicentennial in 1976, they also performed “Muskrat Love”. Queen Elizabeth famously nodded off during the performance of this song."

So since our big boy, Squeezle McMuffin showed up on our front porch...5 years ago this weekend, he's had this problem with his eyes.

A kind of bloody goop that leaches from the corners of his eyes, near his nose.

It gets all crusty and I figured it's probably uncomfortable for him as he can't clean it all off himself, so I do it once a week or so with a warm wet paper towel, which he hates.

Two different vets said it's a condition with his tear ducts & would require micro surgery $$$$.

Since we wouldn't put him under the knife for something not life threatening, we let it ride.

Last week I bought some terramycin for cats and dogs. $25.00 for a little tube 1/8 oz.

Three applications...no more problem.

Oh Albert is adorable. Did I manage to tell 'Aaron's' story? She and her sister were ferals that were rescued as kittens with their 'mom'. 'Aaron' was super spicy and protective of her sister, and could not be handled. When the three were examined at the vet, 'mom' turned out to be a tomcat looking after two female kittens who were orphans, and Aaron became Erin 'Little Miss Hiss'. 2 and a bit years later she's an affectionate and loving kitteh who told us it was bedtime last night and herded us to bed.

Never heard of them but you inspired me to look them up. "Copp and Brown stopped making new records in 1971 when Copp's father died and his sister decided to sell the family house. Copp moved in with Ed Brown, whose home was carpeted and deemed unfit for recording.". Amazing how a change in circumstances can affect creativity ... all the factors have to line up just right, and something stupid like some carpets on the floor can mess it all up.

Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC Shelter) is where i adopted PennyGrrl early aughts.
bought me into a room of 'cells' and in each one was Pitbull/Doberman, Doberman/Rottweiller and Rotweiller/Pitbulls throwing themselves against the bars; all except one which had Penelope, a German Shepard/Australian-Herding thing mix sitting very attentetively with her head cocked.
again, i said HER!
we were together 14 years.
much later i realized they set me up; of coarse i'll take her, look at those monsters!!
i hope they all found homes tho.

Jim Copp & Ed Brown recordings had been available via dwindling vinyl supplies directly from Mr Copp until a super fan Ted Leyhe assisted in preserving their legacy & stewardship circa 1993+ = an outstanding job and collection of restored audio. Start with the earliest recordings and continue-on down the line.
James Copp the lll, prior to WW2, was part of the NYC cabaret & jazz club scene as a surrealist humorist. Yet, upon his return from the war (& his experiences) had changed his perspective on performing. Went into innovative home recordings.

Americans understand that Memorial Day, or "Decoration Day," as my parents called it, has something to do with honoring the nation's war dead. It is also a day devoted to picnics, road races, commencements, and double-headers. But where did it begin, who created it, and why?
